Wurkkos TS11 problem.

Hello.
I recently purchased a Wurkkos TS11 and a 18350 vapcell battery as an upcoming gift for Father’s Day. Unfortunately the flashlight only turns on when connected to the USB cable. The power indicator is constantly green (Manual says charging indicator should change from red to green). I’ve also tried the factory reset.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks Chris.

Did you remove any isolating plastic or paper stuck on the end of the battery ?

Also, clean all contact areas well. In the head end (center contact and outer ground ring), tail cap, and the tube ends (excess lube ?). I also (though it is usually not a problem) clean both ends of the battery. I usually use a pencil eraser and then isopropyl alcohol.
It could be a driver problem, but it is best to make sure you have a clean set of contact areas before worrying about that.
Oh, do you have a way to check the battery voltage. Or maybe an external charger to make sure it is fully charged.
A bad cell is always possible,

Got your voice! Let me find Wurkkos engineer solve it just right now.

Thank you for all your replies. I’ve got it working now thanks to Mandrake50 suggestions. I cleaned all the contact areas and the battery.

That’s great to hear. Thanks for SIGShooter and Mandrake50. Love BLF! lol
The issue is caused by us added too much lubricant. I will record and report it to Wurkkos IQC immediately.

Hi

Old post, but same problem. Cleaning the two spring contacts and the battery ends did not help. Battery is charged and is show 3.9V on a voltmeter.
Works when plugged into usb C.

Wurkkos_Terry, any ideas?

Thanks,

Rolf

Solve looking through posts here. The cap needs to be tightened very hard. Interesting…

It could be the resistance between the tail cap and flashlight body making poor contacts
