Nice light. Looks like it does everything better than SR15 while having smaller diameter.

So not a huge advantage to the C8L, am I seeing this correct?
The TS28 is just a much more compact model.
Can I ask if it uses a spring at the driver end or a post like the TS22?
Springs at both ends
If it’s possible, could you make a picture of the TS28 with some other models nearby? Like a standard C8, a Convoy S model, depending on what you have, of course
Sorry, I’m just too busy. All the extra photos were from other reviews. I don’t think I have anything from Convoy using the same camera settings.
Thanks for the sharing, gald you like it ![]()
Does anyone have any interest in the 50m location for photos to be shared here? Better to see flood differences.
Seems like an all around good light. I think I will have to get it.
I just got the wurkkos TS27 and I like it. I know others are put off because of the LiFePO4 battery. I don’t mind it, it reminds me of the old D flashlights my dad used for the volunteer fire department and raccoon hunting.
I put an order in for one yesterday, it’s got to be worth a look for the price and I like higher Kelvins for throwers. If you’re going for ‘wow’ factor with a thrower, then go all out.
Nice it’s easy to dismantle, and that it has a refector rather than TIR.
I just received yesterday the SK40 and the TS23 should arrive next week.
Maybe this TS28 whould have been a better option…
The beam pattern looks pretty similar to the SK40 even if the TS28 head is a lot smaller, that’s impressive!
For the lenght of the body is an easy win without the tail switch.
Also the runtime is impressive and it has stepless ramping that it would make it a lot more usable also for indoor use.
But I promised myself that for this year I will not buy any other flashlights!
I don’t have it yet, but I think (or better, I hope) that the TS23 should be still better for general purpose EDC with it’s floodier beam, so you can light your footpath without effort and at lower power.
Ok, I just received the TS23 and I’m quite disappointed to be honest.
I just had the chance to test it indoor for the moment.
Maybe my expectations were too high, I thought it would have been a sort of goldilocks of throw and floow but i think I almost prefer the SK40, mainly for the tint, even if on the paper it should be a 6500K, it looks closer to a 5000K to my eyes.
Also, the beam of the TS23 doesn’t seem so clean, I was expecting a TS22-style with a stronger hot spot, but it is definitely not like that.
Anyway, looking at the reviews online, rhe TS28 beam looks pretty similar to the SK40, so I will pass for the moment.
I’m confused. Are you referring to the TS28?
Read his message above about getting the TS23 and SK40. He then says if the TS28 would have been a better choice
I don’t need one, I don’t need one, I don’t need one…
I own both, the TS23 and TS28, but have not had the chance to really compare them. For sure, the TS28 is more pocketable, however, I’d never attempt it, without using the lockout. The switch sits way too high off the body and takes next to nothing the activate the light. The other thing I noticed that I don’t like is the lack of the dual position pocket clip on the TS28. The TS23 has it, why not the TS28? It doesn’t make sense. Also, I don’t feel the magnetic tail cap holding capability is as strong on the TS28 as it is on the TS22.
As far as real usage and comparison, I’ve not yet had the chance to look.
I’ve personally never used a magnet or clip for that matter, plus always lockout before I pocket it, so for me at least, it’s still by far my favourite.
How strong do you need a magnet to be? It holds the light horizontal no problem.
I don’t recall the TS23 having a magnetic tail. It has an e-switch on the tail.
The TS22 perhaps?
