Hi Guys, as the first representative product of WURKKOS, WK30 has been discontinued for a long time. I know many people like it, and we have always had the idea of making an upgraded version,2 years has gone the plan seems ready to start, I recently received the first version of the design draft, and to be honest, a bit disappointed.,, feel like something is missing
According to the original plan that Terry and I discussed, the upgraded features:
①more compact, from 26650 to 21700
②more powerful, 1LH351D to 2519A(plan flood) or 1*XHP50.3HI(plan spot)
③more friendly, single red LED to triple red LEDs
④more professional, 365nmUV+ ZWB1 filter or 365nmUV+ZWB2 filter.
But as I said above,2 years has gone, I worried my plan outdated. I hope to complete the final design with our community all. What do you think we should do? Just leave your comment.
we need help , Give them some advice on what the WK30 PRO you want looks like~~
Its not, it just lets more wave lengths of uv through, bht you dont want that, you want 365. At least to my understanding. Theres also the fact that you never see zwb1, and everyone recommends zwb2
This is a very minor issue, but I’m not fond of the new logo on the button. It resembles a button that’s either scratched or has some paint on it. Perhaps it’s a bit OCD, but I would greatly prefer a simple circle with a backlight, free of any marks.
Please give us a more sturdy look and feel (thicker material, especially for the battery tube), I know this cost a little bit more, but I always prefer look and feel over very low price.
I would like a neutral symbol for the lighted switch. An AR coated glass lens would be great to have.
+1 on AR coated glass. Wurkkos already has some flashlights that can compete with well known and established brands like NiteCore or Fenix etc. - those with stabilized drivers like F11C or TD01C, T26S. Only missing part is AR coated glass. Yes, there are some Wurkkos with such - time to make it standard like Convoy does for years
For AR coated glass, Green AR coating is best to help reduce Green tint from LEDs.
For the bezel, consider the possibility of Stainless Steel, it gives a premium appearance and has a reputation for reducing cosmetic damage if dropped. (though I prefer the lower weight of aluminum, and not to drop my light… lol)
I like a tailmagnet, as in the TS25
And I Really Like Anduril (dual channel in this case). Although I accept if your target market would be happier with a simpler UI.
imho, including USB charging (as in the TS25) is a valuable feature. It makes it much easier for new buyers, and when gifting a light to a friend or family member.
I really like the updates, especially going to 21700 and adding ZWB2. I also agree with others on 660nm red, a lanyard attachment that allows tail standing, and AR coated glass. Though, if you could solve the issue of UV also needing to pass through the glass lense that would be awesome. ZBW is great but you lose output passing it through the regular, UV blocking lense as well.
Other important considerations for me are a well regulated driver that gives steady output and long runtime. I don’t need a light like this to be a lumen queen for 30 seconds before overheating and stepping down hard.
I gotta concur. Forgot which light it was that had the splat on the side, and the first time I saw it, but I thought it was overrun of opaque rubber onto the translucent cap, and was “defective”, but I wasn’t about to say anything.
Someone mentioned that it was The Logo, and when I compared it to the logo on the box, I almost facepalmed myself into next week.
Point being, unless it’s something very distinguishable, like The Lumintop Bunny, it can be taken as a defect vs deliberately-placed logo.
YEESSSS!! The upgrade design of WK30 PRO was inspired by the same post. Mac write wrong. I suppose the original means is 365nmUV+ ZWB1 filter or 395nmUV+ZWB2 filter.
