Yet another flashaholic thread… this time in the style of Jeff Foxworthy.
If you ever hit the circuit breaker just to have an excuse to use you new light…… You might be a flashaholic.
If you pick out clothing based on how many lights you can get in the pockets……. You might be a flashaholic.
If you have disabled the dome light in your car for an excuse to use your edc…… You might be a flashaholic.
If you put an xm-l in your phone’s flash. You might be a flashaholic.
If you rewind a crime shows just to tell what kind of light the cops are using……. You might be a flashaholic.
If you have ever forgotten to eat a meal because you were reading about flashlights on your computer…… You might be a flashaholic.
If you have ever heard some punk kids loitering around your house at night and grabbed your brightest light with intent to strobe them…… You might be a flashaholic.
If you urinate in the dark so you can check for pwm…… You might be a flashaholic.
Wow, you got me on this one. It worked incredibly well too. They piled into their car and sped off in less than 30 seconds of an XM-L strobe in their face, they didn’t know what to think or where it came from.
I still don’t like strobes on an EDC, but for the high power XM-L barn burners, I am starting to like strobes quite a lot. Manufacturers: Just take away the SOS (or OSO) mode PLEASE!
If you've ever attempted or even planned to upgrade your lawnmower's headlights to XM-L's, you might be a flashaholic. (Note: No I haven't made any more progress on this other than acquiring parts.)
Sounds perfectly pragmatic to me! Those garden tractor headlights are utterly worthless aren’t they? Especially given that usually one doesn’t mow the lawn in pitch blackness, but rather at dusk when there is still enough ambient light to make it impossible to see the headlights, let alone do work with them.
Ha! I have done this! On a dark country road with my 7G5 on the driver side and my king on the passenger side. Hell the king put out more light than my headlights do anyway. It was awesome!
2Yup, a huge Husky hand held spot light beam can make a hundred+ arms instantly appear in a parked car. Our house is in the woods and there was a house less culdesac across a creek next to the house. It was a popular parking spot, but when they played really loud music it was time to go.
