My one and only purchase this year. Emisar DA1 NTG50 5000K. My first Hank light. Love the beam and tint but undecided if I like the metal button or not. Something about it. Not clicky enough maybe. Eyeing the KR1AA or D3AA next come the new year.

IMHO, the rand that stands out the most for innovation has to be Fire Fly. They have come such a long way. My vote for best light of 2025 FireFly E04.

For me, it was Simon bringing back the Convoy stainless steel S7.
Now with great LED options, buck drivers, temperature regulation, and green AR lenses, it has come a long way since it was first introduced 10+ years ago and then became quickly extinct.
Sure stainless steel is terrible with heat dissipation, but it looks so nice!

I agree, its truly gorgeous.
I’ve been eyeing this light since when I entered the world of flashlights.
The price honestly stops me: a 50-60 something euros expense wouldn’t pass unnoticed as a ∼20€ one from Convoy… but admittedly, the DA1 ticks two important boxes for me, Andúril, and a side switch.

My favorite, as it is the only one I have 
it is this Convoy C8, I got it with the stainless steel bezel and with the CREE XPH 50.3 R9050 in 4000k
I tried to swap in a smooth reflector but I see a doughnut, in the center, so I just put back the OP one.
I had for a brief moment the luminescent front O-ring, however it was lasting something like 3 minutes and at low output it was making the beam even greener than what it is (or at least, it seemed so to me), so I put back the black one.
I also took off the “tactical” ring since when I took this picture (what is the tactic in it, does anyone know ?) because it was plain uncomfortable.
In 2026, even though I don’t need one, I want an EDC. 14500, possibly.

Yeah it was worse for me. The conversion is bad for us Canadians. Total for the light for me was $78. I don’t mind in the end. Its a great light. As you said the anduril UI is nice and puts it above my zebra light SC62w and I paid over a hundred for that one. But the zebra is much more pocketable.

A C8 was my main bike light for a while and it was great. The only reason I stopped using it was because I stopped bike commuting and don’t ride after dark anymore.

I have actually tried to attach it to my vintage racer as soon as I got it and it has the proper look!
I don’t have to commute either, but in late autumn we often use the bikes for leisure and after the time changes, we always end up riding at dusk or later. I will certainly use it as a bike light the next autumn!

Convoy M21H best?
I’m not sure best is the right word. It is different than anything else I had and that’s the reason I decided to get it. Of course it has been around for a few years and that’s why I after reading about it quite a bit and watching quite a few videos I decided I should have it.
Compact.
UI.
Battery check.
Type C.
Plenty of choices of LEDs and color temperatures.
Double click, lights up most of the backyard and a little beyond best/better than anything else I have.
I have plenty of lights that throw a lot farther but then you have to sweep the entire backyard.
Best is the right word.
S21E (multiples) received in the same order.
It has an entirely different beam but all of the other good things apply.

I noticed Simon released new versions of the t8 but they are all some variation of camouflage. Would like to have seen something like oil slick or crackle style, something along those lines.
