ZozzV6 1000 and 2000 post double giveaway *Winners Announced!*

No worries, I have enough cells. I just need to get back home to get them.
Actually I was there yesterday but only for 10 minutes and I failed to think that I would need them.
And…back when you shipped the item I didn’t know where I would spend that night. Actually even now I don’t know where I’ll spend this. I have a lot of chaos in my life these days…

EDC 18650? That’s HUGE!!! I carry only tiny stuff like Utorch S1 Mini or Thrunite Ti4 or Lumintop GT Mini.

Uhh…. :person_facepalming:

. :innocent:

I’ve EDCed the received light nearly since I got it.
Not because I expected it be useful for EDC but because I hoped to find time to play with it.

Seems the time is now.

There’s still too bright to go out but I managed to play with modes and configuration.
The firmware is custom, based on Babka.

The default settings turned out to be perfect.
4 modes going from low to high with no strobe seems right for me.
Starting low w/out memory is right for me.
Batt check enabled - that’s right for me as well.

However it seems that I found a bug. When I do a batt check - it blinks 4 times. Then 5 times, 5 again and again and again. So the first blink-out seems shorter.

The batt check scale is 1-8 blinks so my cell is nearly half-empty. It seems the cell is not charged enough for full blast. I think it was 4V or more when I put it inside so it may be that the lighted switch drained it.

Oh well, less than full will do for tonight.

Babka is based on Biscotti and uses the same battery check logic, except that Biscotti is a 4-blink check by default. I upped it to 8-blink default. But the extra precision highlights a slight oversight… there’s no forced delay between starting the ADC and taking the first reading. The ADC can take a little while to “settle in” and give a good reading. When the first battery reading is done, it hasn’t settled in yet. I really should add a 100ms delay or so to help with that. Thanks for mentioning it!
