Haikelite SC26 *** CLOSED For U.S.A. and Canadian Customers only*** Haikelite cut me off at 100 units so GB is closed.

Too many inconsistencies in the story of this light. Email sent with order cancellation.

Do you have verification that the SC26 order has shipped? You mentioned something about it a while back but only that you hadn’t received a tracking number, not that it actually shipped.

He posted the lights are one week away from shipping, then two weeks transit time to him and then they will be shipped out to customers. Then he mentioned the key player at the company is dealing with a family medical issue. Since this were supposedly shipped several weeks ago I do not believe this timeline at all.

Story?

The story is exactly as I stated.

The same company that manufactured the MT09R driver also manufactured the SC26 driver. Once the MT09R started coming up with driver issues they put a hold on all products with drivers from that company.

Haikelite has contracted a new company for manufacturing the drivers and those are being installed and tested for every possible issue that could come up. They did not want and could not afford for another light to ship out and end up with issues like the MT09R did.

If you choose not to believe it then there is little I can do about that.

In 2 to possible 3 weeks time the SC26's will arrive and I will begin shipping them. Until they arrive I can't just make them appear. If I had a way to speed things up I would do it right now. I have a ton of things to complete and this is at the top of the list.

The reason such great prices are offered in group buy is because there is a chance that delays will come up and they always do.

Ask anyone here that has made a purchase from me outside of a group buy that I have no control over and really did not want to do to begin with but I let Dale talk me into doing it. And they will tell you that I make sure that they get what they paid for and in the case of the MT09R they got much more than what they paid for as it is a far better light now than it was when it shipped with the drivers from whatever company they had manufacturing them..

I can't send you what has not arrived here yet. It will and it will as a better product than it started out as.

Terry has refused to refund my order. I have filed a claim with PayPal. Good luck to the rest of you hoping to get this light and trusting that Terry is a professional who knows what he is doing. He isn’t and doesn’t.

Your refund was not refused. Your money has already been sent to the factory along with everyone else that made a purchase.

DO NOT CALL MY HONESTLY INTO QUESTION.

Make sure that you let everyone here know that even though the payment for all of the SC26 lights has been transferred to the factory I still offered you a light costing twice as much in it's place and you then began to demand what will or will not happen. I simply can't make the shipment hurry up and get completed and appear on my doorstep.

You can either accept what I offered you which is far more than what you paid or. You can wait about a week while I send a refund order to Haikelite for they can transfer your money back into my account and then refund your purchase.

I make nothing from these group buys so there is not huge amounts of money in my account to just start refunding. I make about a dollar for each unit sold in this group buy.

The choice is your. You can accept my offer or you will simply have to wait at least 5 to 7 days for the money to be transferred back to my account.

Either way do not ever call me dishonest again. I can tolerate a lot of things but that is not one of them.

I have been totally honest with every single delay that has come up with this light. Group buys take time they always have and always will.

No one else her will need luck in getting their purchase. They will get their purchase the day they arrive which I have explained until I will no longer explain it again.

You have showed your temper a number of times along with your incompetence in basic business practices. This was not a GB made by a volunteer member of the community. You run a for profit business. I made a purchase directly from said business. That business has failed to delivered the purchase in what I feel is an appropriate time frame. I requested a refund of my payment and that you cancel my order. That request was denied. These are facts. I do not wish to receive a substitute product. I do not care how much money you make from each order. I do not care where the money is now. I do care that delivery has been delayed more than once. I do care that the you might start shipping 10 weeks after the initial date promised. I would not have entered a GB for light for delivery in late May. It is not my concern you do not have $32.00 in your account to process a refund. This GB has failed on every level in my opinion and I no longer wish to be a part of it. You could have simply refund my payment and let that be the end of it.

Okay so now we all see that you simply don't care... Thank you so much for sharing that... This is exactly the reason these discounted group buys are slowly becoming a thing of the past.

So would I, Dale said he was going to send one to me to check out a few weeks ago but I have not heard anything since. I asked a few days ago but they just said it was not ready yet. Course they also said they were going to send me one of the MT09R chargers to look over as well but that didn’t happen either.

I also requested that all of the new models that at least 1 sample be sent to TA for top to bottom inspection. After all for now he is still under contract by Haikelite.

But like he said.. Nothing yet... I know there was a driver change in the SC26 which I really believe will be for the better and well worth the wait. Either way lol I have to wait for them to arrive before I can do anything.

The MT09R really shook up a lot of things at Haikelite and they could not afford for something like that to come up again..

The lights will make it here, just longer than I or any of us had hoped...

But just so you all know Dishonest I am not....

Guys, I am busy at work but I have a few other thoughts that I might share later tonight or tomorrow. My refund was processed and received.

I just put in a Paypal request for a refund as I no longer want any Haikelite flashlights. I was going to give it a chance, but too much BS to deal with.
Terry needs to learn not to insult customers on his Facebook page as he thinks he knows all, and deletes negative post that are true. I was trying to help, but Terry knows everything.

Don’t just get batteries based on the highest mAh rating as some of them are not made for high discharge rate. Always check what discharge rate you need for each flashlight.*_

mAh has nothing to do with discharge rates mAh is millamp hours. Or the the capacity of the battery. The discharge rate is the average and max amperage the battery can produce. Which will still not matter as a driver will only allow what it’s set up for as far as the current flow from the battery

Well then just get some more Ultrafire 5000mAh batteries if it does not matter. Evidently Haikelites are NOT high performance lights.

I think you are way lost. A 30q is as 3000 mAh battery but that has nothing at all to do with its discharge rate. Don’t get upset with me for your lack of knowledge. That ultrafire battery will hage a discharge of maybe 5amps. The 30q has a discharge of 15amps. So yes Haikelite is a very high performance light that we recommend only 10amp or higher discharge unprotected cells. 22 lumen take about 20 amps of discharge to perform at 22k luemn… mAh and discharge rate are 2 entirely different things and one has nothing at all to do with the other. One is how much stored energy the cells has referred to as mAh or millamp hours. Or how long the cell with last at it’s rated discharge rate. I’ve never seen an ultrafire with more than a 5 amp discharge a Samsung 30q has a discharge rate of 15 amps.

Lack of communication from a business owner is just wrong.
Guys asking for refunds, your lack of communication does not look good for your biz.

Based on some on some information shared with me last night, my initial suspicions were essentially proven out. Terry has created a no win situation for himself.

This is my opinion on what has happened:

  • Haikelite is an incompetent manufacturer.
  • Dealing with a Chinese manufacturer is incredibly difficult even if you know what you are doing. Terry’s lack of experience is clearly showing.
  • The funds for the SC26 have been diverted by Haikelite to resolve the MT09R disaster.
  • The ongoing issues of the MT09R, combined with a lack of funding have caused the significant fulfillment delays.
  • Terry is doing is best to steer the ship but is being fed inaccurate information at best, outright lies at worst by Haikelite to “explain” the delays causing a number of inconsistencies to develop like the lack of a review model and an ever shifting ship date.
  • Terry through both his own fault and external factors created a group buy that when it is all said and done will cost him, not make him money. This has created an incredibly stressful situation.
  • Terrible interpersonal skills and a public temper has added to a lack of confidence in his ability to complete the GB.

I believe the SC26 will eventually ship but the final straw for me what the comment regarding Dale’s family medical issues as contributing to the delay. I have been doing business on the internet for nearly 20 years and have heard every excuse there is. When a deal is going sour, money is at stake and there is a dropout in communication only to find out some sort of personal “crisis” was the culprit it is always bullshit. Always. I have seen it play out dozens and dozens of times. Haikelite is playing games and should not be trusted. Unfortunately Terry is the public face of Haikelite in this forum so he is going to face the criticism.

Can you show any of us where exactly all of this is except for where you have typed it out here.

I do see a discussion of lithium cells but none of this. Even if I could delete my own comments I could not delete yours.

Terry you know this took place on the Haikelite Facebook page where you have either closed, deleted, or blocked the page as I can no longer find it. You thought you could be sneaky where I could not get access to this, but it all showed up on my email.

Actually my talking about Dales daughter being sick had nothing at all to do with delays of any kind. She his home and has been and is fine. I just thought maybe there were some compassionate people that it may actually matter to... She has been home for several days now and is doing very well... Dale never asked me to mention that.. I did that like I said just because I thought there may be some compassion for another human... Nothing else.. That had or has nothing at all to do with the delays or how long anything will take.

I have said and I still stand by my statement that when this one is complete I will NEVER for any reason agree to a group buy of any kind. You though my letting people know that Dales daughter was sick was some kind of delay tactic and you say I have a temper and bad interpersonal skills... At least I will admit when I am in the wrong or have made a mistake. and certainly would never make the assumption that a sick shild was a delay tactic.

Wow it is really sad what something like this can bring out in people. Not just one person but many people.

I can take all of my business straight to my old Amazon store and sell a ton more without having to ever read these kids of statements. I was asked to try and just keep it small and personal so that was what I did. My Amazon store does 10 times this amount of business and I never have to read or deal with anything even remotely close to this.

People in a group buy always think they can do it better or handle it better or cause it to run much more smoothly... I am still waiting to see that group buy happen.

This has turned into something that I want no part of... As fast as these lights arrive I will get them shipped. It will still be 10 to 12 more days at the very least. But after that I may pull my support fully from the forums. Nothing is worth this...

I am sorry for the ones that actually do understand and do know everything that goes on behind the scenes. But this is just way too much for anyone to have to deal with...

No clue what you are up to or why... Even if I did delete my own remarks or posts... I would not be able to delete yours.. Any one Facebook knows that. It makes no difference at all.

I am completing this group buy and there will be no more... If there are it will be from one of the partners at the company certainly not from me... All of this kind of teenage high school behavior and really not make but hopefully a buck or two per sale. no way this is worth that or even 10 times that...

wow you are a pretty cynical guy. You have to remember this is a GB for a product that was not yet completed so the wait is to be expected. I rather wait for a high quality product that has gone through QC than a rushed product so I agree with what HL chose to do here. The wait on this GB is no where near as long as some of the other GB. Also in reality things don’t always go as smooth and perfect as expected. Unforeseen complications is an unavoidable reality even for the largest and most reputable corporations in the world (e.g., Samsung Note 8 explosions, Apple bendgate, antennagate, iphone 6 touch disease, GM’s ignition switch recall of 30.4 million vehicles and 124 deaths, Toyota’s floor mat causing 89 deaths, etc. etc.)
