And does it has now the updated headband?
I can see in the page description that it's running Biscotti.
Also in one of the pictures you can notice the cut-out in the driver and a mechanical switch going flush with the cut-out.
The bigger issue - I forgot that this has onboard USB charging. The spacing relative to the first cooling fin makes me think it’s built into the driver. Between the two, I doubt any other driver would fit or work. :-/
Headband looks the same in the pics. Will wait for someone to grab it and check UI etc.
Still meh about XML2.
Convoy already release S12 HOST…check it out
The M21B host link should be up soon as well. All it took was four sentences on my part and I didn’t even tell him I’m a member here.
Amazing customer service. Hopefully these sell well enough to make this worth his effort.
My concern is the cost of the host - the host + driver is already more expensive than the full light, so I guess that’s the point? Maybe I’ve got the sales pitch around the wrong way.
andr3w: Mocarny: Simon Mao: Mocarny:Simon, is it possible to make turbo mode access only after 2 click, from any position(on or off) without memorizing it?
So it could be 0,1% - 1% - 10% - 40% and turbo after 2 clickyes ,and what driver model?
It could be in driver for SST40 and new 3*SST20
If turbo is only 1-2 min I can’t see point of memorizing it, and it would give more modes, 4 in loop and turbo when needed. Then it could be really “turbo”, not the highest mode
I definitely want it for S2+ with SST40 (and all other models too:)
Is there any estimates when it will be available?I have done such a driver sample before, I am not sure if there are many people who need it, so I did not mass produce it. (and turbo only from “on” state)
Simon, could you please tell if there are any plans for it? I mean turbo access by two clicks (from “turned off” state as well).
I want S21A with sst40 and this feature, if possible.
I like the design of the S12, but I still feel a little burned by the battery size issues of the S21a.
The M4U - Yeah - a nice tube style 26650 light.
What driver is in it?
Can it be flashed to something more interesting? (Anduril - I fear I’m becoming a UI snob)
M4U is changed from BD06,it’s 7135*8 with biscotti.
Well, what do we have here…
Hope you all dont mind with thailand language… anyway great review and S12 definitely look very sexy…already have order it…with sst20 2700k.
Have a nice weekend…
Nice find. Nichia 219C 4000K seems to have a nice rosy tint in that video.

Can depend on the camera, they have big problems showing the right tint. In real life it can be green.

I’ve got the nichia 4000k coming, now I’m excited

Nichia 4000K coming, I can’t hear you!
Yep, I’m done with SST20 4000K unless they’re FA3 binned.
Simon or anyone else… is there a solder point on the new 6A CC drivers that would allow for disabling mode memory? Ordered an M21B and didn’t realize the new driver has mode memory (not a dealbreaker just prefer to not have it).

Agree, the SST20 is overrated

I was planning on getting one M21B myself and I do recall on the M21B item description page in one of the pictures where the driver was visible there was one star, so maybe that one star is for enable/disable memory? I hope so, as usually I keep my tail clickies with memory disabled, so +1 to this question.
