There might be some truth to that. I’d be fine paying a bit more than the regular S2+ though.

I believe in Simon! Smile

So a couple days ago I pleaded one more time for the blue S2+. I told Simon that while I realize he doesn’t have much time to visit BLF these days there is still a lot of talk about a blue S2+. Well this morning I had a response from him. His exact words were “ok ,I decide to produce blue S2+”. Persistence pays off! Well unless he comes back and says it can’t be done that is. I doubt it though. Simon hasn’t let me down yet. It probably doesn’t hurt that I’ve ordered over 200 flashlights from him in the last few months LOL! I don’t have any word on when they will be available but if he responds back with more information I’ll share it here or just start a new post with blue S2+ in the title. Unless he wants to make the official announcement of course. At the very least it seems our chances are better today than they were yesterday. Smile

Sweet! Thanks for bugging begging Simon on our behalf! Wink

It’s easy to get turned-off by too much bling.

Here’s three finishes compared and contrasted.

Bottom: Natural Aluminum. Middle: The real red S2+. Top: A Solarforce stripped and Cu plated and then chrome plated.

I kinda like the natural Al for its utilitarian look, but blue would sure be pretty!

Please be sure to share it here regardless. If it’s in a brand new thread, many people who subscribed here won’t see it. Smile

You can’t tell me what to do…it’s not like you contribute here or anything.

Ha! ToyKeeper I’m obviously joking. I will share the info here even if I start a new thread and that’s of course is if Simon doesn’t want to do it himself. BLF is an awesome community of helpful people. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to contribute as much as you and many others here have helped me but I’ll certainly do what I can. Simon and I are exactly 12 hours different in time zone so most of our communications are a day apart since he’s probably sleeping when I’m emailing him and vice versa. As soon as I get any word I’ll post it here. Love your work!

Most of the lights were a big bulk order for the company I work for. Simon is quite obviously not as money driven as most businessmen considering the quality per dollar offered by the Convoy line. It’s unmatched in my opinion. My collection is still quite small (around 20 I think) compared to many here. I’d been talking to him before and after that big order about more color options for the S2+. I’m sure the big order didn’t hurt but I think it was telling him that lots of people on BLF were still talking about a blue S2+ that won him over. I don’t think he has time to see what’s going on here these days. If it actually happens I will be thrilled if anything I did helped influence him to make this happen for all of us. I bought the red S2+ for my wife a few months back and the whole family was impressed. Considering the look and feel of the light itself with that gorgeous switch and the presentation with such beautiful packaging Simon really outdid himself with this one.

I really dig the red S2+ and the steel S7. The S3 is cool too, but a bit hard to work with due to using an integrated shelf instead of a pill. And the S4 looks great with its head cutouts showing the reflector fins, but it’s a little impractical.

I think a blue S2+ with the metal switch would sell well, especially if it were to come with an extra pill or spacer sized for a triple emitter. I don’t have a blue light yet…

We need to bug Simon into making a Convoy L2 replacement. Updated with a larger head and with a op reflector.

Why he decided to quit making the Convoy L2, I don’t know. All I want to know is why stop making one of your most popular lights? It doesn’t make sense. :quest:

Maybe he didn’t have much earning on it so he focused on light that bring more cash!
I am begging him to make remote switch (for hunting) for C8 last 5-6 months and the only thing he did is to check the price for coiled cable!
So, sit back and relax, blue S2+ wont be here any time soon.

I have spoken with Simon many times about adding certain things. He needs quantity in advance to give us pricing we are accustomed to. At the same time, if someone wants to make a certain GB and the hosts are available...he may entertain the idea of making limited runs.

All someone has to do is email him via Ali and ask.

It's the simple things that we take for granted that cost us the most

I have to say if this, is the case, you are not going to last long here Gearbest. Telling people to cancel their PayPal disputes is not the correct procedure. Then giving them store credit is not fair.

Hmmm, without asking, they ignored my request for Paypal refund or real Convoy lights and gave me “store credit” … not happy…

Ok, so I’m not happy at the moment. I’ve placed an order for $522.86 with Simon. The following items were not in the parcel:

10 x C8 Hosts [$123.55]
4 x M2 Hosts [$72.64]
2 x S2 Hosts [$20.66]
Thats a total worth $216.85!

I’ve unfortunately only realized this now, 4 weeks after the parcel was delivered. I’m situated in South Africa and have a mailbox in the US. I’m now at the point of consolidating many parcels delivered over the past 2 months, of which the above was delivered 8 June 2015. During the consolidation process photos are taken of each package’s contents, this is when I’ve realized the above issue.

I’ve sent Simon a message about this. How do I prove to Simon the items were not in my parcel!

I’m NOT happy and I really hope Simon will refund me for this amount. Damn, this is frustrating…

Is the PayPal dispute still open?

Same exact thing happened to me, I have lost 2 packages in this month due to “zip code changes”. They appear delivered but perhaps to the wrong address, or were returned. No one knows where my package is.

Perhaps it was shipped in two packages since it was a big order and the second package is lost. Was there a packing slip / list of contents in the box?

The order was shipped in 2 packages, 1 for batteries which I received complete, rest in other package, which was incomplete. I have not heard anything from Simon yet. I cannot accept loosing this amount.

The post office likes to scan items as “delivered” in groups not always when it’s actually delivered. Should be illegal to do that imho. I’ve had packages marked “delivered” that never were.

Was the box even big enough to accommodate all of the flashlights? If not, that can serve to show that there was a error.
