I inquired about the version with BangGood before ordering getting no response and inquired after ordering getting no concrete info regarding the version. I placed my order 2/2/2017 and received it 2/18/2017. What I received is a Reylight Pineapple with the older reflector. I contacted Rey and he is taking care of the reflector.

That’s old version. I can send you new reflector, free.

We spoke via PM regarding the reflector and I sent my info already. Do I need to send you shipping info again?

So… I finally got time to try an experiment with my extra low freq. PWM Pineapple driver. This was done with 219B’s and any final project will be with 219C’s for increased lumenous efficiency…

Sorry for the crappy video, but I did not expect it to work well and was not ready and did not have a video camera with me. Moonlight works well, but I had to many lights on in the shop and at the bench!

Anyone using a Nitecore 14500? Someone reported it does not fit.

Looking forward to make a 3rd batch. Anything to be upgraded? The slightly wobble switch? Anything else?

Maybe a tad wider and thicker retainer ring?? I know it’s not that big a deal as is,
By the way Rey, just before you went on Holiday in Jan. you sent me some new drivers etc. are these what is talked about as the New 9 hz Driver or have I missed or misunderstood something, as usual..?
Might as well embarrass myself, but I am curious about the drivers you sent me in Jan. as I don’t recall what sort of voltage they can handle max. I have however found out how much they can’t handle, accidentally.
I Lego’d 2 pineapps together and was going to drop in some Eneloops but grabbed the 14500’s instead, wasn’t paying attention, Of Course Sick , well end of that story,
One other quick question while at it, Are you really considering a Version 2 of the Ti X6.?
Saw a poll and that was listed and really caught my attention,
I have your V1 and is my most prized light and would love to see and own a Ver. 2 so very very much,
I could only imagine what a Ti-X6 V.2 would look like if made today, with how much your skills have developed since that light was designed and built and now?
It would be an unbelievable light I am positive but maybe some rings around the tail-cap this time, instead of smooth, a crenelated bezel, hum sounds good to me anyhow.. ha
Thanks Rey..!

Maybe making the tail end thread a tad shorter.
So that not using the clip doesn’t leave a gap…

Production can be finished next weekend. MD requested a sample before setting up the GB. This could take about another 5 days.
That’s the best I’m expecting.

@T18 PM sent about the driver. and YES, I’m wanting to make a upgraded version of Triple Ti I and Ti II(X6)
Back then I was not so experienced with the production. I really want to correct the mistakes, and make some better lights.

@Meich Yes, it is awesome. I’m also thinking to remove the hole for strip. Someone complained that it pokes the palm a little.
Maybe make a clip with 2 screws, which makes it higher class IMO.

@lumenzilla RCR123/16340 and even 18650, it will be on the waiting list.

Thank you guys.

Definitively classier – but not really good for those who don’t want a clip at all. Wink

The new clip does look nice, However please make it so the light still stops rolling quickly

The anti-roll affect of the existing lanyard hole is important on a light this heavy

I never use clips on lights this small. Pineapple looks much better with no clip and no clip holes IMO.

Need a longer, stronger clip. Not that one. Too short and too weak.

Gimme the Ti-lan please. This one is perfect with the upgraded reflector. Just give an option without any hidden carnival modes ;). Mine. Moonlight-low-med-high-(turbo). comes on in low or med. PWM doesn’t matter as long as the frequency is high enough for the PWM-Taliban not able to detect it without camera settings etc ;). CRI doesn’t matter much on this kins of light as long as it isn’t obviously reddish (mistaken by some for “high CRI”, the CRI Taliban). Just 5000-5500 proper “natural white” LED please.

It would fit well

My Pineapple doesn’t work with Olight’s 14450.
Tried wire jumper and it worked.

My suspicion is something about springs on its tailcap, will investigate it later after office hours.

Olight’s batteries are protected as far as I know. The Olight 14500 might be too long for the pineapple. Try a standard non-protected 14500

It is designed to take both protected and unprotected, as long as it is less than 52.5mm. Most protected batteries are 52mm.

It’s true. Olight’s 14500 is about 1-2 mm longer than my Eneloop.

Btw here’s my investigation:

Spring Swap
Pineapple’s back spring is a bit thick and long. So I suspected that this may caused the problem. It even made my Olight battery a bit dented inside (see picture).

So I swapped the spring with another one taken from dead driver. It’s shorter and slimmer, I think it’s better than original one because it has golden color LOL

It works BUT only when the tail is not fully tightened.

FAILED.

—————————————————-

More insulation
I thought that the problem was short circuit with the retainer ring at its tailcap. So I added nail paint into the retainer ring as well as around the negative pole of the battery to avoid short contact.

The result is still the same as above. Only working when the head or tailcap is a bit loosen.

FAILED

—————————————————-

Magical Stuff
Just when I didn’t know what to do, I tried to loosen the retainer ring for driver a bit. Just in case it will work.

YES IT WORKS!

Some times I’ve had to cut the wrap from the neg end of the cell back even with edge of the cell to make contact on some lights and some cells,
I’m using the WindyFire 14500 cells with this pineapp and they are perfect in flat and button, that cell looks sort of scuffed up on the wrap so, just a thought.
