freeme, can you post it here http://budgetlightforum.com/node/61419 ? Or can I quote you to put on that thread?

You’re right Wink Better “testing” than early conclusions on single episode! Still, it is a data that makes me think about these batteries…

When is this torch likely to appear?! My status on GearBest is shipped, has been for some time now, but guessing as there are no reviews yet it’s probably not shipped at all?

Mine left the China sorting center on Sept 4th. It may be on its way to the USA right now. The delivery window is Sept 5th to 17th. So maybe I’ll get it some time this week. You never really know how long it will take for shipping, 2 to 4 weeks is common. It will eventually get there. Lol

I don’t expect anything new as far as reviews go. It’ll probably have the same mode spacing as the original M3. About the only thing that’s changed is the built-in charging.

I got mine today. Heres my mini review. No surprises. It’s just a better version of the M3. Thumbs Up

Like I said in the post right above, it’s basically the same as the M3, but it has the added built-in charging. There are tons of reviews both in this forum and on YouTube.

I’m not sure what you mean by the tint being more throwing. It’s small OP reflector does a good job of throwing, just like all the tints. I prefer CW and the tint seems fine to me. There’s no blue in it.

The charging rate is 1A. I reported 0.94A in my review.

Thanks for the answer.I mean between xpl 1A and xml 5C (that i have) any difference in throwing?

Both emitters use the same size die, so throw should be the same. I checked my old xml2 M3 and new xpl M3 Pro on the low setting and they got exactly the same candela.

Depending on what lux meter you use, the warmer tint may have a slightly lower reading. I know my HS1010A lux meter reads NW about 5% lower than CW.

The M3 is really not a thrower type of light. It’s more for close up use in my opinion.

Full Kit = includes battery
Single = no battery

I ordered the full kit and added a note to make sure to include the pocket clip (just in case). Thumbs Up

is this where I get the full kit of the new 2018 version?

https://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_009393217622.html?lkid=15345985

it still lists the UI as long press for on and no single press for on and long for moonlight. I thought the UI was updated?

and does it still have that warm tint?

I am a bit confused because GB lists this 6 times and I don’t know which is the 2018 version. Need one with clip for sure.

The UI is unchanged from the old model. It’s still press/hold for on/off. Single clicks to cycle through the modes – moon, low, med, high. Dbl clk for turbo, etc…

The big update for 2018 is the built in charging.

If you want to use Freeme’s code, you have to follow his link.

At present I don’t know if the clip is automatically included. Ask them about the clip before paying.

I can’t comment on the 5C version’s color. I bought the CW and it seems fine.

Thanks mate. I just ordered the full pack in warm white for 24 euros. Will probably the warmest light I’ll ever own, but it might be kinda nice for indoor to improvise cozy light.
