Astrolux E02.....Disapointing...... Solved by Banggood!

Updated 11/29/16: Banggood sent an email and will refund the total amount paid

Banggood was very fast in replies, but because Yahoo fault my email stucked for 5 days :weary:

So I will stay away by Pranker products now :+1:

I’m very disapointed with this light, thats the first which I buy and stop to work in the segund switch on……

The light arrives today and in the second switched on, that thing stoped to working

The center ring melt down and the led seems lift a bit :confounded:

I bought the BFL A6 but its out of stock, so they sent that for me……

I sent a message for banggood, I will see whats the tell about fix this :weary:

So, banggood dont reply yet and I decided to disasemble that….

The led lose the star…

And the problem, astrolux think thats a heat sink?

I’m very disapointed with that, the light is crazy pocketable and powerfull (when it works…), but the build of that is a shame :confounded:

The driver seems to be fried too, that light dont fits 18650 protected and I think some short occured :weary:

So this light dont worth to be fixed, right?

The centering plate or LED dome melt?

The centering plate melt, when I pulled the led broke and stuck in reflector

Manker FTW…that explains everything…they should start selling marker products and its clones with repair kits you know

Get a copper DTP MCPCB and enough heatpaste to cover all of it to get way less thermal resistance

That LED got too hot bcs they messed it up with aluminium board and not enough heatpaste

Astrolux is not Manker anymore.

You can see the thermal paste is not spread out, so there was never good contact between MCPCB and pill.

Yeah but it has been made on purpouse, Manker/the clone company knew that this partucular torch will be sold to a BLFer so they nerfed it in order for the BLFer to feel the real rush when he gets it, and ofc repair it - we BLFers have too many spare emitters/mcpcbs and stuff anyway
Their other products are of super quality as we already now

Please tell us that Banggood fully refunds you and compensates you for your troubles. That is totally unacceptable.

Hahaha!

Turns out they're known as Pranker now…

Cheers ^:)

Hi guys, I tried to put another led in that light and its confirmed…… The driver fried, the light dont switch off and have no turbo mode, that cycle between the modes and when turbo mode comes, that still stay in high……

So, that shit only have the body “working”, I think its more expensive to fix, I spend 2 hours cuting and scrapping a noctigon xml2 to fix that and lost all (the led still working, but……).

ImA4Wheelr, Banggood dont reply yet, I think because of the weekend this delay occured, but when they done, I post the feedback.

Barkuti, that pranker almost killed me, good input for laugh

That is the reason why we stopped offering all kinds of cooperation to BG and focused on Manker brandname product by ourselves.
We wanna spend money on lauching new models and keeping on improve the quality.

Astrolux was never been Manker.

We only supplied the driver to them at the beginning.

Manker the main issue with that light IS the driver- first you changed initial desing, then the caps are total crap, the R used have 20% tolerance

Manker i realy DO hope youll never start producing Liions, pls dont

Yeah, its got me thinking too. So….

If you filed down a noctigon make sure the negative led is not short circuit withnthe base

That would make the LED driver useless and always run the diode in direct drive

Banggood sent an email asking for more details and I write the problem and sent this thread for their analyse……

So the BLF A6 have Pranker hands o it? HUGE affraid after that!

And what if that is the case for the led's positive contact?

Answer: he just got a maximum efficiency Direct Drive Hand Warmer :THUMBS-UP: . I'd recommend it to be used with high current cells and some sort of temperature control logic, preferably. LoL.

Cheers ^:)
