SDmini RGBWUV with OLED display

I finally did one with a display in it! I haven’t been very active on here for a while, but I just finished one of my best mods ever and had to share it. My video below goes over the basic info and I’d be happy to answer questions if anyone wants more detail.

This is a Lumintop SDmini that I updated to MELD firmware with RGBWUV. While doing that, I noticed that the charge port opening perfectly fit a tiny 32x64 OLED display, so I had to put one in there! I added temperature monitoring on the LED board, voltage measurement for the battery, and an independent current monitor for the white LED. I ported my firmware to a much more capable microcontroller and added in display functions to show mode/menu info, drive level, strobe speed, LED temperature, LED drive current, and battery voltage. I consider the display aspect of the firmware a work in progress, but luckily I was able to repurpose some through holes on the driver PCB as programming connections so I can continue to work on it.

tterev3, you are the Master! Thanks for sharing this with us! By the way, do you still sell drivers and/or MCU with your firmware?

You’re insane…
That’s IMPRESSIVE, your skills and dedication made me speechless !
Bravo

unbelievable! Great work.

This is perhaps the most impressive flashlight mod I’ve seen in a long time

Just WOW

The coolest light ever! Thanks for showing us. It must have been a tremendous amount of work, but your skills are still unsurpassed!

couldn’t agree more. It is mind boggling to me. Those readouts on the display! How on earth? Almost wished I hadn’t seen this.

(I have one of Everett’s lights, an Olight S10 with 5 emitters and that firmware that is to die for.)

Insane!

WOW! This mod is absolutely insane!!!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Very well done.

tterev3,

Wow, that is certainly inspirational.

Nice Vid.

Adds new meaning to the words “Wiring Spaghetti”.

Thanks,

Splott-Light

Wow, very impressive build. The skills, patience, and imagination that had to have been involved with a build like this just blows me away.

Amazing :open_mouth:

This is mind boggling and what a result! Just looking at the picture makes me dizzy. Great work  .

Love it!

Wowser. Crazy skills, this man has. How the heck did you keep the those thin red wires straight? Sure that was easy compared to the programming skills though.

Great Job. That is awesome.

Next level stuff! :+1:

Soldering level:ASIAN

Not fair! I WANT RGBW!!! I just want RGBW
