TK, then what’s the 7135×1 level? Is that ramping level 65?

Yes. Max 7135 on a 150 step ramp is level 65.

It depends on the specific light, but yes, on this one, the 1×7135 level is 65/150.

These levels are typically determined by a combination of measurement, math, intuitive feel, and rounding. So it’s different per light and I’d generally recommend looking up the details from the source code when in doubt. It typically has the exact numbers and the command or formula used to calculate the ramp.

Order placed June 20-
Emisar D4V2 high power LED flashlight
Color – Dark Grey
Led & Tint – Neutral White – XP-L HI V2 5D, 4000K
Please choose – one extra SS bezel (aluminum bezel by default)
Please choose – 18500 tube
Please choose – Magnet in the tailcap (No magnet in the tailcap by default)

Not shipped yet.
I already have a D4S with Nichia 219CT 90CRI, 5000K, and I like the light, but it gets real hot, crazy fast, so I decided to go with the Cree LED this time.

Why does he keep making 18500 battery tubes for hot rods? Where are you guys finding good 18500’s?

It crossed my mind that I could get one of those and put a 14500 in there, but then I thought, why bother just to reduce the length 15mm?

I have these on order so not quite sure of the fit . May need some customizing but they should stop pocket activation.

Received these washers and they fit around the D4 switch perfectly. The plain of the washer is even with the top of the switch rubber. Does not hinder operation of the switch but adds enough protection to stop accidental activations in your pocket. An added bonus is that it also works well on the FW3A and looks like it came stock . I use E6800 glue to attach mine. Does not harm the finish, holds well yet can be removed .

I just received my D4v2 today via DHL. I love it. Thank you, TK for the great work that you did to help make the D4v2 my new favorite.

Unfortunately, this light did not come with instructions, but fortunately, your excellent review, here, allowed me to figure out this light’s new features.

I am looking forward to your updated Anduril diagram.

GRRRRRR..

Long wait for me. I ordered two D4v2 on 6/19.

I never received a shipping notice email, but checking on International Outdoors website I see that it is marked as shipped on 6/30.

I didn’t pay extra for expedited shipping though. So probably at least another 3 weeks before they arrive.

I like the copper-ti version of the D4v1, but personally, I find it a bit too heavy for pocket-EDC. When I try I can literally feel it in my pocket bouncing around against my leg. And one time the extra weight caused a pen to burrow through my pocket making a hole.

Think I’ll probably pass on a D4v2 Cu-Ti. Looking forward to the FW3T though. I think the smaller mass will make for a better pocket EDC. Hopefully not too heavy.

I ordered my d4s two weeks ago and still have not received a tracking # even though it has been marked shipped

Kind of ruined my first experience ordering thru intl outdoor

May try ordering a d4v2 and another d4s thru mtn

Everything I’ve ever ordered through International Outdoors did arrive.

But don’t recall if they ever sent working tracking numbers.

I think you have to request a tracking #.

yes, go to their site and click on the ‘shipping’ link. You have to request it. I did, and have it, but I think it is only good after it transfers over to USPS.

I have emailed hank about it and he replied that the order status has been updated to shipped, I since have sent two more emails asking for a tracking # as I payed the 2 dollar fee for it.

I’m sure Richard at mtn wouldn’t do that but then again who knows?

On another note is this a ok 18350 https://perfectvape.com/efest-18350-imr-battery-red-800-mah-button-top/ I can purchase them for 2 dollars plus tax but have no idea about the compatbilty of a button top in a d4v2

according to Richard’s website the D4v2 can use either button tops or flattops.

How do you get those for only $2? Share the good news.

I posted some pictures and a short video on Flashlight Fanatics. (I couldn’t figure out how to do that here)

The light comes with the auxillaries preset to low rainbow mode. I didn’t realize it was on low at first, because, though low, the auxillaries are brighter than they are in the D4S in low mode. So,at first, I was disappointed until I played with the auxillary settings and got them into bright mode. They are amazing. I love that you can configure them, separately for lockout mode,if you want. I have mine set for low brightness red in lockout, but in bright green when not.

Anything else you want to know, TK has probably already explained in her excellent review.

The perfect vape warehouse is 3 miles from where I stay

Purchased 2 imren 4200 mah purple 26650’s a month ago for 6.98 a box so when I got home to pop them in the charger I realized there were two batts in each box so 2 for 1

Went back two days ago turned out it was a mistake but still purchased an additional 2 imren batts

You’re not the first person to have paid for tracking and not received it right away.

My D4 v.2 shipped Saturday, but I didn’t pay for tracking and haven’t over the 4 orders. They get here in 3 weeks and I have faith this one will show up in time.

Next time, just don’t pay the $2 and wait the three weeks. Hank’s too busy designing awesome flashlights and perhaps paperwork isn’t his thing?

It isn’t explained anywhere, but I emailed Hank and got an explanation. He uses trackable methods for people who pay the extra $2, but his site software doesn’t have any way to manage automatically. If you email him he will send you the tracking number.

I’ve been doing that since and he has been good about getting back to me with them.

Hank is running a one-man business and he gets very busy, but he has always gotten back to me within a few days.
