*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

45650 yeah lol.

I've heard of a 32650...

I'd love to see a 45650!

Sorryā€¦that was a failed attempt at dry humor. Iā€™m pretty sure it doesnā€™t exist.

it would be great though if a large, single high capacity cell did exist. (but the cost would likely be way to high.

Letā€™s get the first version of this lantern out before we start changing the light around as if we are starting from scratch.

Weā€™ve known - and agreed- from the start that this was going to be an 18650 powered light. ~ Same size body as the Q8. Different battery suggestions now would be great for a v2 lantern.

The wait for this light has already be excruciating enoughā€¦as it is, I wouldnā€™t be at all surprised if we were told the light should be ready right around Christmas timeā€¦

Donā€™t worry, its set in stone now with the minor changes. Just waiting to hear back from Barry after sending him the information on the changes.

Please put me down for 1 more.

The 18350 tube could be part of the accessory kit.

I love the idea of a 21700 version, but a single 21700 mini lantern with all the bells and whistles as the LT1

Yes, it uses Anduril. And I updated the candle mode just a few days ago to make it a little nicer. I havenā€™t done a video yet, but I graphed two minutes worth of candle modeā€™s power use, overlaid on the same graph. Itā€™s wide, so you may need to click to zoom in and then scroll horizontally:

I am interested in the updated candle mode. The original is a bit jumpy for my tastes, but I did not want to complain. I would call it more like fireplace. Candleā€™s donā€™t tend to change the output all the much. Not sure from the graph what it will ā€œlookā€ like, but ā€œlooking forwardā€ to checking it out.

Iā€™m in for 1 please

This is looking good!

Please put me on the list for 1.

Please put me on the list for two BLF LT1 Lanterns. This looks too good to pass up.

I think there could be some users for 8*18650 LT1.

Camping use some sort of beacon is helpful for markers, checkpoints, emergency, car breakdown all sorts of reasons would be my view.

Bike flasher could probably be dropped from a lantern? yet to see anyone with a Q8 on their handelbars let alone this format and size

I like the aircraft marker timingā€™s - very cool :sunglasses:

Agree last production sample is a wise move - I have an Astorlux S42 on my shelf that crushes its cells that will support this theory!

Iā€™m in for 2 LT1ā€™s!

im #1399 on the list but please add another 1 for me

Iā€™ve been following this for a year and would love to see the lantern used for 2019. Please put me down for one. Thanks for the hard work in design and testing.

I recognize the big peaks and valleys from the older version, the tighter ocillations to replace the big peaks in the newer one look like theyā€™ll be nice. Even better!
