Interstiing, I would how they handle the heat, if they could be cranked up to ~~10-15A like the XHP series then it could be potent, doubt it though.
Thanks for taking the pictures!
Do I see a slight spiegelei here too?
And the three pictures on the bottom are beams from a reflector or a TIR optic?
clemence: Texas_Ace:I would love any of the multi die LEDās in a 3V format, that truly would become the standard LED going forward IF it had a thermal pad so we could use a DTP star.

1130 lumens max with 2.8 ampsā¦ <āā- corrected. Still not impressed
Thatās the test current. That highest possible forward current is 4.8 A.
Thatās exactly what Nichia should come up with. And than a flat domed version like the MZ as well.
So the 319a is green. Like, really green.

Very narrow TIR with frosted center aspheric lens, Gaggione LLC49R. Its not spiegelei (well, very subtle) in reality, itās a very cool looking hex projection.
With normal plain TIR optics, you can see the hex projection.
So the 319a is green. Like, really green.
What do you expect from Ra7000 6500K? Itās much much better than XPL 6200K CRI70.

Ah, well it didnāt occur to me that those were the really cool ones. Hereās hoping the 5000K neutrals areā¦more neutral.
Thanks for taking the time to test them for us.
Oooh, that 5000K 319a looks much better. Iām anxious to try those myself. Thanks Clemence!
The secondaries used in above tests for those curious
I agree, canāt wait for those 5000k 319A to show up.
clemence
How do they dedome ? If possible ofc, pls try that if not when you have the time, its the thing that interests many of us most

Later tonight
I havenāt dedoming for years. The last one was XPG R5 in 2011. Hopefully I still have the skill.
Thanks alot, if the electrical /mech dedome fail pls try chemical
Its crusial for my needs
I will buy a dozen of those on their RTM anyway yet its a good thing to know what should we expect

Itās not as easy as XPG. The lens is not easily knocked off without some damage to the phosphor under my heat gun. So much different from the XPG with itās auto dedome feature even on high temp setting hotplate.
Is slicing considered to be a dedoming? I prefer slicing thoughā¦.from reliability POV
Thanks for your efforts m8, i will get 10+ pcs from those 6500k anyway but i was wondering will those be dedome freindly
We definately need some ābetter XPGā :sunglasses: options, especialy after the XPG nerf
I think Nichia emitters have resisted heat-dedoming for a while now, havenāt they? Isnāt slicing the dome the preferred method for 219c too?
I have sliced a for 219cās, they do increase the intensity with minor effects on tint and output.
