My looks the same…
I would give it 6/10 points compared to TN42 and MK35.
Agreed. Quality please.
Also keep in mind that a flawless perfect mirror reflector is not a specification that we have set.
The performance measured in both lumens and lux is. As long as the light performs the same as the specifications it’s good.
Obviously, if the reflector has damage on it it is flawed and you have the right to get a good one.

Keep in mind that it gets exponentially harder to make the reflector surface perfect as size increases. If you judge the surface finish as a percentage, it is not as bad as it looks.
A larger reflector can have larger imperfections and still be the same relative quality as a smaller reflector.
Which is why the V1 prototype got 1.29mcd, right is line with what a scaled up TN42 reflector would get by the calculations.
Hi
I’m not in a hurry.
I prefer exhaustive quality control VS the speed of the shipment.quality +1

Same for me
ARRIVED…with batteries…
It’s big.
Thanks to all those involved who made this happen.
Have only checked that it was alive after it came, and so far so good.
Did not know that it was on its way.
Only coincidences that I via the BLF blog saw that there were others in Europe who had been notified.
Then I called my local DHL and checked if something was coming to me…and that was it.
Thanks again

Same here. Thanks for allowing me in on this amazing groupbuy.
The 2nd GT that I received has a very slight OP reflector also. But I don’t see it as a big deal… it’s really very slight; certainly not as pronounced as yclongthrows. Do I expect perfection in a budget light? No. As was previously written, it’s a balancing act between perfection (big :money_mouth_face: and production.
I was actually presently surprised that my first GT had such a high quality reflector surface.
Are we sure the OP that people are seeing is actually that and not just milling marks.
I grabbed a couple of lights and had a look at their reflectors and realised that my “silky smooth” Niwalker light actually appears to have ring marks on the reflector when you look at it from the right angle.
Still waiting for mine to land in the UK - well, it might be in the UK but no tracking has made its way to me.
Took this shot with my phone within minutes of taking the GT out of the box, my Dad held it next to his Q8…
This is the light that hit the water tower at 1.9 miles. Don’t see how any of the slightly noticeable non-mirrorlike finish affects the beam.

How do I turn on the switch light? It was off from the beginning. I also did the factory reset. Still not lit.
lol Dale. When the comment was made that your reflector must have been perfect to hit the water tower I chuckled knowing that our lights shipped at the same time and likely looked the same. My gt has the exact same surface as yours. I’m happy with mine. What is really great is it was suggested that the reason the warmer emitter version had less light on target was because it was probably a light with a slight op reflector. Looks to me like the light you swapped the cw emitter in has the same dreaded op ish reflector. Thanks for the pictures once again! It would seem the the throw of the gt is excellent with that reflector

Did you make sure that all of the batteries are fully charged?
I’ve read the manual and it states that the flashlight will eventually turn off at low voltage. Can someone confirm at what voltage does that happen?
Yes, all 8 30Q are fully charged.
Another confirmed arrival in Norway here. The first I knew about it was from the DHL guy standing outside my door with nobody home.
Shipping: DHL

100-something on the original list
Many thanks to the BLF team!
Just waiting for the batteries to charge now.
Are you sure that you did not get an opaque switch cover?

I have some info here.
The run time test below was carried at with Kaidomain protected 3500mAh batteries. 30Q run time test was also performed. There was only a few percent difference in output between the two different batteries with the 30Q just ahead until the 45 minute mark where the KD 3500 pulled ahead. The low voltage protection kicked in at the 72 minute mark while the 3500 KD batteries lasted until the 94 minute mark before low voltage kicked in. The rested voltage of both types of batteries was around 3.5…
It’s completely dark black. Must be opaque
