I just ordered the E15 which is able to run on 2AA, 1AA or 1 14500. I expect the 1AA to be very similar to the Xeno EO3 so it should be a versatile little light. It was only $26, so I chose it over some other more expensive options (4Sevens, Shiningbeam) that also use 1AA or 2AA, and I bought 2x 18650 IMR and 2x 14500 IMR from the same China vendor. This is my 3rd purchase from this particular source and the Xeno prices are considerably less expensive than elsewhere, even with shipping costs factored in.
For the first time, someone asked me to order a flashlight for them. Manager at the sports bar we frequent after cycling is always asking to look at my latest light. He's been admiring my AA CQG S2 for quite a while, which is my EDC light.
While I was at it, had to get a little sumthin sumthin for myself, so I ordered it's AAA little brother, the CQG S1:
Meanwhile my EOSLAMP SP11 AAA from IOS is still a no-show. Sunday is 6 weeks from order and I'm traveling all week, so unless it arrives tomorrow it's going to a Paypal dispute. Shame, I've really been looking forward to it coming in the mail.
I have a UF-T50 on the way from Manafont. It shipped supposedly about 2 weeks ago so it could arrive anytime or it could take another 2 weeks
I ordered it as a replacement for my P60 as I’m trying to get away from tail cap switches. This would mean all the most frequently used lights are now free of crenelation and tail cap switches. I have no strobe lights that aren’t hidden.
Finally ordered the XM-L S-Mini and a pack of misc O-Rings from Shining Beam. New discount code BLFUSER worked like a charm! I've been wanting this light forever. I'll get the XP-G version later....
Also pulled the trigger on a N-Light ST60 from CN Quality Goods. I have been really impressed with the quality and performance of my ST50 and I like the versatility of the 60, as it can run on 1x or 2x 18650, plus it has a similar UI to the 50 (turbo mode with a head twist). Should make a great handlebar bike light in the 1x mode, basically a C8 style with smooth reflector. Hardly any info on this light out there.
To power the new lights, ordered 2x XTAR and 2x HiMax 2600mAh from ProtactalShop on ebay.
A Fluke 289 DMM. Do I need it? nope. I already have a perfectly good Fluke 189 that's served me well for 10+ years. So why did I buy it? Good question...
None have arrived yet and I have yet to own a zoomable light, not counting Maglites.
Why? Let me count the ways.
I am trying to kill several birds with one stone.
I have had no interest in lights with aspheric lenses until I purchased a Dereelight and these little cheap zoomies have peaked my interest.
I have read here on this forum that there is a definate lottery factor when buying these lights. So I am going to order two or three of the AA/14500s a month and sort through them and play with them and keep the best of the best.
As for the leftovers...
Every year my family gets together for Christmas and I think I am going to show up with a bag of these to hand out. I also think I can sell these around the shop to subsidize this little zoomie phase.
I have been spending money on flashlights, batteries, chargers, etc, at an embarrassing rate the last two or three years and hopefully this plan will keep my head in the flashlight game and keep a steady flow of packages coming to satisfy my insatiable flashaholic tendencies without breaking the bank. I might even get some golfing and fishing in.
Also, these cheap zoomables seem to be plentiful on Ebay. I just recently signed up on Ebay and am still a little green when it comes to bidding and such. Buying and bidding on these less than $10.00 lights will help me get my feet wet without risking too much.
I've got #2 and #3. #4 is pretty much the same as #3. But I use them all with 18650s.. #2 is brighter than #3 but the light is more blue and the zoomed die is larger. So I prefer the output of #3 but I mainly use #2 to work and stuff because when zoomed to flood, the illuminated area is larger + it tailstands. And its cheap, so I dont care if it breaks (ruined one already). Thats the reason I ordered them.. cheap to keep somewhere and (ab)use.
I've got an blue L2p with reverse clicky + 3mode manafont xml dropin coming.
Also a pair of TF3000 and Himax 2600. Oh, and a Small Sun ZY-C10-S.
But the real reason I decided to buy those two was because I bought
because I wanted a light with my key chains.
ended up spending a lot more then i intended to. And guess what... i decided to purchase the PA10 only coz I figured i save $2 on getting a registered and insured package by having my total bill reach $60.
The reson i ordered this one was cause ive never had a flood to throw in a led, it was cheap, it has a 3 x AAA battery holder a spacer to use a 18650 and you can use a 26650 as i think 26650,s in single cell lights is the furture.
The reson i ordered this one was cause i really like the look of it i think 26650,s in single cell lights is the furture, it comes in a nice gift box, i dont need the charger as i can use my hobby charger but a family friend can use it so i will do a quick mini reveiw on the charger and i wanted to test a protected trustfire 26650 battery. I think this would be a great kit for people starting out with 26650 cell lights as the charger and 26650 battery is over $24 usd alone. I will do a mini review and see driver compatiblity when it gets here.
