Sofirn SP70 Alone $50, PM for AMZ US CODE(LIMITED)

Throw numbers are posted above. About 710 meters or 125Kcd.

Slicing the dome will definitely increase throw.

Is there anyway that Sofirn would sell the light with the sliced led? Thnx

I doubt it. It was talked about in the GT70 tread & concluded that manufactures might not want or be able to do this correctly.

Don’t take that as an answer from Sofirn though. It is only my thoughts on the subject.

Thanks for the answer Teacher, there would be a great push if Sofirn could do that…. Even if manufacturers could not/would not do this properly, doesnt’t mean they couldn’t find somebody to do it,isn’t it? I mean it’s not the same finding someone to do 5 pieces or 500?

Just a slice is not that hard but it makes ugly yellow corona. If you want to do it like me to remove yellowness from corona it takes almost half an hour per led to make it right. That will raise the manufacturing cost very much plus it has high risk killing leds.

Sofirn pls give us some news of this one either good or bad.

Mark me down for something that at least doubles if not triples the Q8. Otherwise 50% more isn’t worth it.

Prefer the 21700…but should come with them. Also USB rechargable. My current charger can’t go past 650 and yes, I can buy outside stand alone connector for the 700s, but obviously slower.

Your not gonna get any of that in this thread. Sorry. You would need a completely different battery design than a 2S.

I thought we were talking about the SP70? And equivalent to the LR40R.

If so, then why a different battery design? Three or four 21700 should have enough current.

I’m a bit confused….

SP70 and LR40R are completely different.

I will have to keep an eye on this. Looks very interesting

any news on this one ? its awful quiet for some reason…

Agree Sofirn didn’t give any info lately very strange wish the history of Kronos K70 not happen again :weary:

I wonder if after Chinese New Year, there’s been a rush to fulfill orders that have been piling up. Not showing up here could well mean that they’re too busy working on the SP70 too.

Its a hard light to make especially the reflector. We wanted some modification done and so did the people at Sofirn so they are trying parts to see what works best. They where hoping to be done by March/April so its not really late.

ah so like the blf gt - the reflectors just didnt come off a shelf or something…

I’m awaiting patiently (cuz ive got no choice) - time is ok , no rush, just make the best light

How about SP70 with matte anodizing?

I think most people prefer matte unless it’s the rough chalk kind. Smooth matte seems to be popular here

Yep, Matte Ano sounds good. The semi chalky types gives good grip & looks good too. I like it.
