I really like my old RRT01. It’s the best ring-control light I’ve tried, and I got really lucky with the tint. 5000K and it seems to be right on the blackbody line. It just needs low voltage protection and a battery check mode instead of SOS.
With an Oslon White Flat emitter installed, the new RRT01 could become a very popular light. With such a throwy beam, it would really stand out.
Dang it. After reading this thread, I pulled out my modded jetbeam tcr1. I love the UI so much I couldn’t resist the group buy and bought an rrt01. Curses…
no
I have Keepower Unprotected 1200mAh and it works in my original RRT-01, so I suspect it will also work in the new RRT-01
otoh, my Keepower Unprotected 750mAh does not work (the button top is wider)
if you want the option to use Protected… the new model does
still no battery check, but now theres a strobe
I would buy your old one…
LOL
congrats
you already have the best TiRotary, and it did not cost $1000 (HDS)
thanks. I have a flat white RRT 01 build on way, but on the look out for another RRT 01 to compliment it, but what to have as an LED?.
E21A?, Optosolis?, or even a triple?.
thanks
After much looking and inquiry, I found one! A lovely TCR1! Amazed these aren’t discussed more often. I am not usually a big fan of titanium, but this light is sublime, IMO.
My RRT-01 came in too, and since I’m not spoiled by owning a V11R, I love the control ring and how low the light can go! And it looks just as good in reality as on the pictures. The thin clip I see as useful, it is nice springy.
I soldered a brass button on top of a 1200mAh Keeppower 18350 so that will be its principal battery.
Now installing the (6x2mm) trits and contemplating which led it gets, maybe one that does not exist yet
