How to Post Images on BLF

I just added the following to the end of the original post:

UPDATE:

I would recommend against using Dropbox as an image hosting site.

Different internet browsers get different image URLs on Dropbox, so just because you can see your Dropbox image on BLF, others that use different internet browsers may not be able to.

Also, some BLF members have trouble posting pics from flickr on BLF.

This is the wrong thread. This is about posting images.
Try a search for catapult V6 and ask people there your question.

When I post on IMGur do i need to make it public or can I make it hidden so only people with link can see the photos?

It can be hidden.

Don’t make it public, then only people with the link can see it, like if you post it here.

Thanks you guys,I’m using imagebb now because it’s even simpler and less buggy than imgur :smiling_imp:

I just added the imgur app to my phone. I am have trouble getting the image to show without having to click a link here on BLF. With the PC it was easier but the phone app is different. Can anyone tell me how this works?

Click the picture in the imgur app and copy the url. Then paste it here. Make sure the image link has the extension at the end.

Try posting it here and I’ll see what’s wrong.

I use android app. It’s possible to copy the url from either a thumbnail image (missing the file extension) or the actual image (uses different url and has the file extension). Try clicking the picture so you see only it, with a black background and then copy that url. Once you learn that little trick the app is great.

Thanks Jason. I will give it another try later. I already spent a lot of time trying after installing the app and it frustrated the heck out of me so I quit.

At first it posted as a blank page. After clicking the edit button it showed up as a link and then a picture so I’m confused as to what exactly happened.

Its showing up for me, format looks correct.

Yup, thanks for helping.

Testing alternate hosting source.

Odd, the photo shows up in Firefox, but not in Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

This is the link used. I wonder what the issue is?

I'm not sure what the problem is, but that image doesn't show in Opera either unless I open it in new tab.

That justmyfolder.com hosting site doesn’t use HTTPS, so some browsers will flag it as “not secure” and will block such content.

If you paste the link directly into Chrome Or Microsoft Edge, it displays fine.

I know. I suppose there is a difference between intentional clicking on insecure direct link vs having it embedded in a web page.
