I can ask BG but sometime manufacturer is rather evasive of my questions. One possible reason could be they wish to have the flexibility to replace model when they are OOS? < My own speculation.

Any updates? you think this is going to happen Freeme? I know the Osram version fell through last winter, and i know this LED is in high demand right now and not the easiest to get... Hoping to see this come to fruition!
Although now im realizing the Osram version probably never happened because Astrolux knew they would be releasing the EA02.

Emitter shortage. 
I figured as much, it was highly anticipated (at least in the flashlight community) and sold really fast with the dealers that had it in stock. If my bare emitters ever come in, I may do an emitter swap on my ft03 just to take some beam shots :)
