I voted 4500K because it’s my favorite after a de-dome. But, I think carrying 5700K, 4500K, 3500K, and 2700K would be smart so there are options at various color temperatures without having to carry every single CCT.
I just put a 5700K in an S2. It is mighty good both with the dome and without. The high CRI and R9 make it fairly unique (with the exception being Nichia High Noon?). The 2700K dedomed to hit 2000k-ish in the 3535 footprint is unique too. So those two would stand out in the lot.
I think Simon said he was going to limit how many CCT’s he carries at a time due to the cost of stocking up. Otherwise, it would be great to have a place to buy all the options easily.
So far, the Nichia 319A @ 5000K is by far my favorite emitter.
I bought a variation at 4000K and the difference was disappointing and too yellow.
5000K is just about perfect.
Poll results seem to point to the 2700k one, but that doesn’t really matter in the end.
“But even so, it still requires a lot of money to prop up inventories.
for example ,recently, I ordered Nichia 519A 5700K 5000K 4500K 4000K 3500K 3000K, a total of about 21000 LEDs, to meet the needs of flashlight enthusiasts.”
Did the results of this survey actually get passed onto Simon? Concerned that he may have not ordered the 2700k despite it being the most popular by far.
