I was thinking that they probably just didn't realize they could get 10 times the money, or they made a mistake in the listing and then went on New Years holiday. By the time they checked on it to was too late to correct it. Does anyone know if they were still taking orders? They should at least list them sold out or take the listing down. Strange.
Have no idea of what they are trying to accomplish with these listings. I feel pretty certain it will just come to a crashing halt and then everyone who ordered will have to go through the hassle with AliExpress to get their money refunded - but that "should be" fairly easy as Ali's policy is if the supplier doesn't ship in 10 days they cancel the order and refund your money - so they say.
Their listings are back, but my order is still “awaiting shipment”. Contacted them 3 days ago but got no answer yet. If the deadline runs out I’ll let AliExpress cancel the order and won’t order again unless I hear from them.
Well, damn. How come Daylighter gets communication with these guys and no one else hears a peep? I wonder what the heck they are up to?
beats me.. I wrote 2 e-mails for them.. I ask him if he has the products and if it’s ship yet?
I didn’t get the reply until few days ago,
this is his exact e-mail to me
thanks for your order!
it is alright! we will arrange ASAP!
Regards,
Jack
So.. crossing my fingers and hope he deliver :~

The only way to do a great work is to love what you do.
I wrote 2 emails, also. Haven't heard diddily... Neither from the seller nor from AliExpress.
At least your response shows that there may be a human at the other end of this purchasing process, but as everyone's orders extend out to the "maximum 10-day shipping deadline", I'll bet the seller allows the deadline to pass and have all the orders get automatically canceled.
I mean - I would love for this to come through - it is an incredible deal if the seller actually ships. But then again - I'm a big Santa Claus believer as well.
I've had some orders through AliExpress and all-in-all they seem to be a pretty solid oversight. I call them the "Chinese eBay", as they operate in much the same way (they run the "storefront" for a bunch of sellers to create their own "stores") , with the biggest difference being that they hold the paid money in escrow and don't release it to the seller until the purchaser confirms receipt. That should make it much harder for a supplier to pull a scam. Ali's parent is Alibaba - which is a huge sales conglomerate over there that deals in manufacturer volume sales. You want a metric ton per month of widgets? Alibaba can work it out with you and the supplier...
I can't see the harm in extending the time, although there is a maximum 60 day limit (? I think) for Ali to automatically confirm your receipt of the goods, from time of order. Typically, an extension is done in corroboration with the supplier, though. Kinda tough to chat with a supplier who won't talk to anyone (except Daylighter, of course).
Just don't let it go unresolved too long.
Bottom line, don't let it go past 60 days from time of order. Like eBay, Ali expects that you will do your best to work out any issues directly with the supplier - and only use them as a Dispute Mediator if all else fails. It doesn't really look like this supplier is too worried about their reputation on AliExpress at this point, though - they have no reputation as yet.
Thanks Peetz. I'm going to give the seller the benefit of the doubt and extend 5 days. The lack of correspondence is concerning, but I'' keep an open mind for a few more days.
I ordered one lot of RC50's when this thread came out, but did not want to announce it at the time. I didn't want to contribute creating "rush" on the vendor and then no sales get fulfilled as recently happened with a different Ali vendor.
I don't trust the vendor, but I do trust AliExpress, so I am not too worried at this point. I figure all that will happen is that no one gets their flashlights and you will end up getting your money back eventually from Ali.
Well, I finally got a reply from Ultra Electronics on this.
Dear Peetz, We regret to inform that our production workers are not yet to produce because of holiday, so, if you wanna cancel this order. we will appreciate for understanding. Regards, Abram
At least that is a reply, instead of hearing absolutely nothing from them. Looks like they have no product. Duh. Not for that price, anyway.
What a cop out. I'm not going to voluntarily request my order to be canceled. They extended an offer. I accepted and put my money down. I want the record to be that they failed to honor their word. Ali can cancel for their failure to deliver and then I will live appropriate feedback.
EDIT:
I replied:
You made an offer. I accepted it and put down my money. If you choose to not honor your word, you cancel the sale.
I didn’t cancel.. but aliexpress did automatically if they failed to send within 10 days.
very bad reputation from a seller who’s starting out, even after they sent me email assured me everything is okay and they will ship it ASAP |(

Sounds to me like the whole thing is to see how much reaction they got, maybe to attract investment. Maybe the store is a dummy, not intended to earn a reputation, but just to test the market.

Flashlight designers should look at lighthouses and pottery.
这些谁设计的手电筒应该看灯塔,以及在陶器。
I think the products were simply mispriced. They should have been trying to sell them for $35 each.
I think so too, and they decided not to honor the mistakes.. either way they’ll getting bad reputation and negative feedbacks, not a good way for a starting new store, they might as well close the store and open again with new name :Sp

They probably just hired someone to set up the store for them and he set the products on random sale by mistake or something. Their online store (http://www.ultrae.us/) has all products listed for $0. I doubt they’ll honor that offer
They shipped my order. Must have cut it right to the wire, because I checked yesterday 3 hours before the deadline. Should be interesting to see what I get. No tracking number displayed yet.
EDIT: Misread Aliexpress. I saw status finished and epacket. I've been refunded. Kind of relieved. I was worried about what was on the way. Time to post feedback. I don't think anyone will see it though because the product is no longer listed.

Well, the products are still listed as of a couple of minutes ago... http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Keenwin-rc50-led-glare-flashlight-18650-x...

My orders cancel in 4 days. I have sent messages to the vendor via alie and email… no response.

It appears that this vendor no longer has any products listed.
and they’re not answering e-mails either |(

Hmm, I'm considering extending processing time. Maybe the holiday has delayed his/her ability to get the lights to ship to us.
Anyone ever do that? Does it reduce your chance to get a refund if necessary?

The vendor do not list the Keenwin flashlights anymore.
Light up the darkness.

Over an hour ago, I left some horrible yet very truthful feedback about the seller and to avoid them, but it hasnt shown up yet.
Edit: “Detailed Seller Ratings information is unavailable when there’re less than 10 ratings.”
Come on folks, everyone needs to post negative feedback to warn others. Lets get this idiot thrown off ali!
