Calling all Olight M22 owners. Especially recent owners.

I am looking for a bit of help here. I have just received a Warrior from one of our Chinese vendors but I’m not sure about it. Now I don’t want to get paranoid about it being fake, because it’s not, but it does not seem to be as good as it should be.

First of all it came with a black bezel which was not black but kind of gunmetal colour but it was also covered in finger prints.

Secondly the grip for changing modes has machine marks showing under the ano.

The only other Olight I have is an i6 and the quailty is not comparable, the i6 is way better finished.

Can anyone with a Warrior please tell what yours is like? Especially if you got it in a recent sale

The problem is we are the experts and they are not. They really wouldn’t understand. I just want to know if what I have got is others have got.

There is something wrong with this light the tail cap reading is to low on high. I only get 2.1a. Flashlion got 2.85a from his. I wonder if this light has been sent back because of this.

I have a M22 with the stainless bezel. No machine marks, the anno is top notch. It is one of my favorite lights.
It sounds like you may have gotten a light that was culled. Sometimes during production, not every single part is up to spec. So usually these are sold for a much lower price.

Yes I think you must be right. It was half Price. However if I thought it was going to look like this and only pull 2.1amp, I wouldn’t have touched it.

Sorry to hear that. I had the same experience with a skyray king I purchased. It turned out to be a clone with the crappy driver.
So I had no other choice but to mod the heck out of it. Now I like it.

The sad thing is this is an olight, they shouldn’t allow them to be sold like this, it clearly defective. What’s worse, this is the second light from the same place, first was a fake and now this.

Marc

Who is the seller?

I’ll give you one guess.

Say no more!

I bought mine over a year ago. Came with gunmetal colour bezel, bluish, perfect finished. The anno hasn’t marks.

I never measured the current.

LOL.

Thing is when you buy a Convoy from them and it’s a fake you are a little underwhelmed
But it’s a cheap light. However when you buy a $90 torch you expect it to be perfect. You expect to open the box and say wow. There is no wow with this light that’s for sure.

I ordered three Olight M21 (750 Lumens) — the tail cap reading was 2.1 A.
I ordered Olight M22 (950 Lumens) when it was not on sale (had a coupon), thinking it would be better but was very disappointed because the tail cap reading only 1.9 A.
Both orders were from the same dealer.

Looks like it’s not just me then. They must be rejects. By the way 2.1A was using a Samsung 25r, I might get readings like you with a lesser cell.

Have you opened a ticket?

Marc

I tested with a Panasonic NCR188650PF and also with a Samsung 25r.

I have not opened a ticket.

Wow, yours is worse than mine. What is the rest of the light like, is there any machine marks showing?

Marc

The black coated bezel which was not black and look dirty (bad coated).

Be sure the tailcap retaining ring is very tight. The ring on my M22 is loosening, even without much use. I found that a slightly loose ring is causing 100 and more lumens drop, without any flickering. The flashlight is operating, but not on its max output. I had this problem only on this particular flashlight.

You paid 90 bucks for it? Hmmm
