If the Kronos team has not logged in in almost 5 months, it’s pretty good odds there will be no light and this group buy is over. Crying

I think we are waiting on SB?

This is from another thread-

I was contemplating trying to restart the K70. On one hand with my health it might be a bit slow but there is the advantage of only a 3 hour time difference, and I have a basic relationship with TF, however in the end I figured too much interest had been lost.
Also group buy organizers seem to be disappearing Sad but that could just be a coincidence.
Oh yeah, it would also have been renamed the M70 Silly

Great, thanks a lot mapache, I think we might have a chance at it. I’ll let you all know if I get a response from Thorfire.

You you can’t have a group buy if there is no flashlight being produced.

I think it’s up to team Kronos? It’s there light they done the design and driver work. Message Kronos and ask what he is doing and why it was stopped. Maybe Kronos doesn’t have the time.
If it need 500+ people to buy in to continue you will need more people to sign up or negotiate a lower amount?

Thorfire had already started the light. They had running prototypes. It really depends on what happen.

I’m in for one, a holster, and the batteries, please.

Oh! Both reflectors as well.

Assuming it’s still going on, that is.

Thanks, Larry

Forget about this project guys…..it looks it’s not going to happen.

For those can modify flashlights i suggest you buy the driver from Lexel or TA with Narsil firmware and it works like a charm. I mod mine few months ago Smile

You can also use smooth reflector from Convoy L6 and it fits Thorfire S70S.

Hi Reja, welcome to BLF! But, as the picture above shows, this group buy seems dried out and blown away, nothing has heard of the initiators for months.

Btw, you can still buy the original light this is based on which is the Thorfire S70s. You can also buy an SMO reflector for it from the Convoy L6 as they are interchangeable.

Yea grab a S70 get a good driver like a direct drive and a XHP70.2 should be good for 6000+ lumens. Of very usable light.

That Kronos was a malware program. What’s that got to do with anything here?
Just similar names?

Robo819 is an active member here, I was just talking to him. Maybe he knows what happened to the project?

Latecomer to this thread, really excited by the OP, wanted to add my interest for 1, both SMO and OP reflectors plus batteries....

Alas, seems the wind is out of the sails, damn shame. Seems like so much enthusiasm at the outset... As suggested above, modding with a 70.2 to an S70 might be doable, but this would have been a nice turnkey model...

(Sigh)

You would think that Thorfire would be willing to release this light with a S70s driver, since the light itself is ready to go. I would still buy it and then swap out the driver for one with narsilm.
