Its happening soon! Is it going to be sold with battery bundle?
I‘m pretty sure they will also offer a bundle version with battery again. But let’s wait for Wurkkos to confirm. I bought a 45W USB-C PD charger and a 100W USB-C (type C-C) cable today to be able to testing both type C-C charging and reverse charging of the HD20.
This is an excerpt from the manual, showing the UI of HD20.
UI seems so familiar so thats a big bonus and just perfect I would say. Strobos and others are useless, but “hided” well enough. So no accidentally strobo show. Truly nice job and ready to get one.
Good UI.Don't think that would be good headlamp with such weight and dimmensions. But UI is quit well
Thanks for your feedback so far. I agree that HD20's weight might be a bit on the high side to some people. However, there's some potential here using it as a classic tool lamp on a belt, in one's pocket or - as I prefer to wear headlamps - around one's neck, shining in front of your feet while having both hands free.
Meanwhile, I agree with AEDe that - from a point of consistency - a single click from turbo mode should normally turn off the light instead of bringing you back to the previous standard mode. Due to the hidden strobe modes (triggered by consecutive doubleclicks) some compromises were necessary here. So, the original style was adopted, i.e. one click will return to the last used standard mode and one more click will eventually turn off the light.
I hope to keep on collaborating on the improvement of future UIs with Sofirn/Wurkkos, especially in terms of dual e-switch configurations, see my concept about Wurkkos WK30S. I hope they will soon introduce multiple firefly/moonlight modes as a separate sequence, lately introduced by Manker with their MC13 and E14 III.
I hope to receiving some updates as of October 8, 2020 (when the Golden Week ends). Wurkkos HD20 and DL30 should be launched anytime soon. Currently, it may take a while until stock is released on Amazon. The pandemic slows down everything worldwide.
Looks kind of big for a headlamp, but something like this, might be really good for a general purpose mtn bike light, especially if both lights could be run at the same time.
I hope so. My recommendation to Wurkkos was to put priority on black and army green. Blue and red will propably look great as well but create less overall demand compared to black and army green.
Wurkkos HD20 is probably being launched as of next week. Please stay tuned...
Exciting

This looks massive for a headlamp!

Thank you Lux! any update on the release date?

I assume they also sell HD20’s in AE too? What about BG?
I can only guess at this point of time but chances look not too bad they will sell HD20 on AliExpress (Sofirn's webshop), too.
It seems Wurkkos clearly focuses on selling via Amazon. I have no idea if they plan to sell via Banggood, Gearbest, Fasttech, Taobao etc..
I hope to get some news anytime soon and maybe there will be a nice BLF promo again.
Sweet. Lets hope that.

Wurkkos HD20 is available on AliExpress now:

Shipping to Amazon warehouse is about to start now. I will soon set up a separate thread for a BLF promo. Stay tuned...
Sweet! What is that army green color though? Is it a dream come true?

Woah did it already sold +50 pcs? Nice start? Waiting that special deal and some more info.
What type of driver is used? Is it a linear, or a buck? Is it a constant output driver?
Goread Y-20 ( XHP50.2 mod ), UF-2220 ( XP-L2 -> SST40 mod ), Thorfire PF01S, Sofirn SP-10B, Manker E02H X 2, Manker E03H, Imalent HR20 ( XP-L2 & TIR mod ), Rofis R3 ( SST40 mod ), Skilhunt S3 Pro HD, Utorch UT01 ( XP-L2 -> Osram Osconiq P8 mod ), Lumintop tool AAA ( XP-G3 -> SST20 mod ), Skilhunt H04R RC ( SST40 & TIRs selection mod )
So this is using an XP-L HD for the throw LED? Why? Should have been XP-L HI, this does not make sense.
And review just popped

I see 5 pieces sold, and might be all giveaways for reviews.
Probably similar
Boost drivers
Meanwhile I have read Lumeniac’s review. The driver sucks. Good conception, good UI… And a cheap driver inside.

wow, that is kinda big and heavy for a headlight, maybe as a helmet mounted,
The Fireflies PL47 is 78g and this is 130g unloaded, too heavy for me. I don’t think I’ll stock this model.

What do you expect for this price point? Sofirn don’t usually use regulated drivers
