Thanks for the info Jackie. It’s really a good news for people that prefer warmer tint.
Btw, is it still possible to change my order? I’ve ordered the 6500K version, right before the 5000K version is available.
I do really prefer the warmer CT.
They’ve offered to change other orders so maybe it’s best to message the seller directly.
Yup, I have contacted again the Sofirn AliExpress seller/store. Let’s see how it’ll turn out, hopefully tomorrow I’ll get the response.
My last last Sofirn light was also listed as 6500K but I estimate it was lower in reality. Still warmer options would be nice. I am glad to see Sofirn has been making more and more of their line with charging. This and the IF 25A both are on my future buy list.
I’m very glad too that Sofirn producing more Flashlights with USB-C charging. Hopefully other manufacturers catch up with that.
I’ve been using convoy s2+ for about three years.
Then i bought convoy BD06, it has built-in charger (with little adapter attached to its side switch, and micro USB cable connected to that adapter for charging), I’m very happy not needing external charger to charge it, it’s very practical.
I think Sofirn SC31 PRO with USB-C port is even better, charge directly no need any adapter.
And I also want to try Anduril UI, from what I’ve read it’s a pretty amazing UI .
I’m glad to see they finally made a good change in the SC31 UI. I would buy one if they could now just shorten the body a little; something like an 18650 version of the IF25.
Thanks for the pictures! Looks very nine. Seems it has smooth reflector, I thought it’s orange peel.
Smooth reflector and it is also shallower. I would describe the beam as almost identical to the SST40 version of the Convoy S2+.
As you probably saw in the album I was able to fit a TIR optic.
I think it’ll be interesting to see convoy making a version of S2+ with USB-C charging. Call it S2+C ?? . Has anybody contacted Simon discussing something about it .
I’m sorry for referring to S2+ several times, it’s my first experience with real flashlight.
I don’t mean to be convoy fanboy specifically or anything like that. I’m a big fan of budget-flashlights-with-high-quality, doesn’t really matter which brand specifically , all brands as long as it’s a good & trusty brand with good, trusty, reliable and fun products, and affordable .

Thanks so much for sharing those pictures. It’s nice to see detailed pictures like that.
Also thanks for the description of beam comparison with Convoy S2+ SST40 version.
I’m also ordering Convoy S2+ SST40 (5000K).
It’ll be interesting to compare them.
I find it bit strange that Sofirn’s Ali store sells the SC31 Pro in two versions with different prices. One has no info about color temperature, the second one is described as 6500K. I asked Sofirn if they have one with 5000K, but they said 6000K only.
I almost jumped out of my shoes when I first saw it, for it has almost anything I would like in a compact flashlight. Cheap, side switch, can tailstand, has lanyard hole, Anduril UI and USB C charging. SST40 is also OK for me. But the cool white tint is a showstopper for me.
Not only SC31 Pro.
C01S has similar situation. There are two “versions” of C01S, with identical specs (both have Low-High modes, not High-Low) , with very slight difference in price. I ended up ordered two pieces, one of each “version”/listing , with different colors, I’m really curious to find the actual difference between the two, if any (aside from the colors) .
SC31 Pro now also available/can be ordered with 5000K SST40.
I have read your thread about Sofirn IF25A. I really like your review/overview/observation . It’s like a semi-long-term review with details of actual usage of the flashlight.
I’d like to hear/read your opinion on SC31 Pro both the 6500k and the 5000k later when you receive them and use them.
Glad I could be helpful
I DO wonder how hot these new SC31 Pro are going to be though. I didn’t think the USB charging would be such a game changer for me too- but I find myself using my USB charge strip daily (especially with my headlights I’ve been using out in the garden at night- pickin’ squash bugs I’m looking forward to the 5k!
Smooth reflector and it is also shallower. I would describe the beam as almost identical to the SST40 version of the Convoy S2+.

And the tint does not look that cold. It looks a bit yellowish on the picture.
Do you think this light can fully replace the SP31 V2.0? It is shorter (by 1.5 cm), lighter (by 12 g), much brighter (2000 instead of 1200 lm) and includes USB-C-charging, for the same price.
The optic is the ubiquitous 20mm optic used for Convoy S2+ and alike.
Stock lens, reflector, gasket.
Pebbled TIR optic.
WARNING!!! Try this at your own risk. My led died. I think we can safely assume I did it while screwing around. Maybe the optic, maybe something else. I’ve since replaced the led with a 5000K sst40 and put the reflector back in. Everything seems fine now.

I’m in same situation. I might’ve even given in to the tint if it the Sofirn UI wasn’t HOLD-FOR-OFF. But Anduril might make this good enough for a inexpensive light.
I ordered the 6.5k version a few weeks ago from sofirnlight.com the day I saw it uploaded. I just now ordered the 5k version from Sofirn AE and paid the TOTAL BS FAKETAX!
***but the coupon was for more than the tax so I begrudgingly pushed the order button***
I really dig the idea of an EDC with Anduril onboard. My IF25a’s (I have both the 4k and 6.5k) have been in the pocket lately and they are great too- just a BIT hot at times
Just a note… my IF25a in the 6.5k version is closer to 5.8k and I REALLY like it outdoors where it can throw well for a little “pocket rocket”. But it’s definitely not 6.5k and I’m all about mistakes happening in my favor.
Yeah, ditto what BFL-L mentioned. I like your notes on your experience with the IF25A. I got the 4k tint, but after reading your comments, I kinda wish I got the 6k tint for the lumens. They don’t list the lumens for the 4k tint, so I’m wondering if it’s anywhere close to 3800 lumens? Mine is still in the mail – I didn’t know how long Sofirn online store takes to ship these, seems like ships from China.
Probably stupid question but does this light have moonlight mode. A quick scan of the Anduril manual did not make that obvious to me. Does anyone know how low this light will go? Is the only way to access that level to ramp to it?

what is your order number ?will check with our store house send out or not, if not it is no problem to change to 5000K tint
Well, my order of two SC31 PRO seems to have been shipped? And now we can order SC31 PRO with 5000k. Now I’m really tempted to order third SC31 PRO hahahaha. IDK, maybe I’ll wait for the 4000K version ..
what is your order number ? if it still in processing in our warehouse, i could stop and change to 5000K
It’s the order number 8117188576467924 If somehow can be changed to 5000k that will be great
I use a Vapecell 1100mAHfor my 18350 SP32v2. There has been some controversy about whether these have changed recently. I think you will get quite a few recommendations for 18650 although most seem to like the Samsung 30q. Sofirn has reasonably good batteries for good prices.

What Anduril version does the SC31 Pro have? (For those who already got one, could you do 15 clicks from Off to blink out the date-version; assuming it’s running a recent build of Anduril)

What are the dimensions of the optics that you’ve installed?

The picture with the TIR is in moonlight mode. It’s definitely 6500K in real life.
I have more pictures in this album.

Lots. 30Q would be std/stock but VTC6, VTC5D (hot), 25S (hot), or if you want a little less lumens, less heat, better runtime: 35E, 36, GA, etc.
Basically any decent cell, non-protected, no button top needed.

I am a bit confused about the different SC31 Pro versions. Is this SC31 Pro 6000K the same as the 6500K?
My SC31B arrived today and it’s on charge at the mo. I ordered it on August 18th from Sofirn’s Ebay page so quite speedy

Yes! I just ordered it!
Are official holsters any good or are there better alternatives?
