Anyone know if the tail cap is removable or if it’s glued like the bezel? I got a tail switch that’s not clicking down consistently and was trying to see if I could fix it.
I have one that was received with glue in the tailcap and one that was not. I have read that they should all be glued, though.
It’s glued like the bezel.
When the tail cover is removed, professional tools are required to reposition and install the spring.
If it affects your normal use, please told customer service and show us the specific problem.
We will refund or send new one today.

I haven’t tried removing the tailcap, but I did remove the bezel.
It had a small amount of blue threadlocker. It was easy to unscrew the bezel by applying grip tape to the head and bezel for extra leverage. If the tailcap is glued the same it should be fairly easy to remove.
I'll wait for now, see if they come out with a linear driver (shouldn't take too long, they're easy to design) then when they manage to upgrade the driver I'll buy two (good & evil, silver with ice blue aux & black + red)
I took some measurements of the drain of my TS10 with orange aux before. Aux off: 5uA Orange aux on low: 123uA Orange aux on high: 7.8mA There seeems to be a problem with low voltage protection as mentioned in that reddit thread.
yes and LVP, as the user on Reddit said their battery was @ 2.4v
my sample I hadn't tested, but because the orange auxiliary LEDs are So Bright, I have kept my aux LEDs on low and didn't notice the drain at all.
the problem with button aux and switch lights, is that they are not linked to LVP. So running the TS10 w Aux lights on High 24/7, without doing any battery checks, will drain the battery below 2.5v in about 3.5 days.
If you look at the low_voltage() function in anduril.c, one of the first lines says: “TODO: turn off aux LED when power is really low”. So… yeah. This is an overall issue with Anduril.
imo, the non firmware reflashing solution is not to run the Aux on High.. and check battery voltage every few days.
I cannot reflash my Anduril lights. My iMac is not compatible with the software.

That comment isn’t up to date. indicator_led_update() disables the aux LEDs when the voltage is too low. If it really doesn’t turn off the aux LEDs, there must be another reason.

The comment by gchart is from just 11 hours ago, here is the link
the issue also exists with other Anduril lights that use Aux…

this isn’t just an issue with the TS10.
maybe Anduril has a problem with switch lights not accessing LVP, instead of Aux lights? (I think I read somewhere that TS10 aux are actually switch button lights, which is why they dont turn off when main LEDs come on, and actually get brighter at higher main LED output)
I have kept my aux LEDs on low and didn’t notice the drain at all.
good point,
if I did the math right, I think they could last 305 days on low, as opposed to 5 days on high?
even w LVP, running on high mode seems not ideal

I do not understand, are you saying you only fixed it on your own light?
Does the aux light no LVP bug exists in ALL Anduril lights, not just the TS10?
except whichever ones this refers to?: https://www.patreon.com/posts/anduril-updates-28372155

Yes, I had fixed it in my own version long time ago and forgot about it.
The missing LVP affects all lights with “simple” (non-RGB) aux LEDs. The quote is about RGBLEDs.

Thank You Very Much!
so, Anduril has No LVP for non-RGB Aux lights.. wow, it took us a few years to realize that.
The problem went undetected for a LOOOONG time and is Not specific to TS10.
And the problem with high battery drain is Only for High Mode Aux lights.
Low mode aux lights last 1-2 years, depending whose drain rate data we use.
thefreeman wrote:
~70uA max for red…more than 2 years with a 1000mAh cell and a red AUXLED on low.
about 2 years on low
zumlin wrote:

about 1 year on low
Hopefully I got all that correct.
so, my takeaway is:
Do NOT use High Mode Aux Lights 24/7
as they will drain the battery in less than a week.
(plus it will overdischarge since there is no LVP)
Even if LVP was working (I have not seen a fixed hex file for that)
(there is a hex file to turn off the aux lights when main LEDs are on thanks to zumlin),
but no Update will change the reality that High Mode Aux will Still Kill the Battery in less than a Week
High aux mode isn’t very practical. Other lights have had this issue. I vaguely even an 18650 in an Emisar D4v2 would drain in something like 5 or 10 days on high aux.
Much better to just use low aux. it’s bright enough to find the light and won’t drain the light fast.

Right, I only use high AUX overnight when I’m sleeping in an unfamiliar setting.. like an alleyway or someone’s yard.
While I don’t have a TS10 yet to test it on, I have patched the aux LVP for non-RGB lights and tested it on a different light (my FT03). I have sent the firmware to Wurkkos for testing. So this should be addressed going forward.
I’m kinda shocked we’ve been without this for so long. But yeah… Just don’t keep your small lights on aux-high!

Have anybody measured the parasitic drain of TS10 HI AUX / low aux / off aux ?
