Well, downloaded and flashed new versions again on both lights. I was hoping that low power blink was in your option list for auxes, no luck. But, OMG the lows are really low now! Great work! Thanks a bunch.

You can find it in my fork of Anduril: https://budgetlightforum.com/comment/1871607#comment-1871607

It’s not perfect, but comes without the jumps.

Level 1 uses clock/4 and pulses at 611 Hz for reduced power consumption. All other levels are at 2.9 kHz or above (up to 19.6 kHz at level >64).

The first 25-30 levels are in the non-linear region, but seem to ramp quite OK. I also tried to go even lower and got about 0.001 lm or less, but I don’t think it would be reliable enough (temperature, battery voltage etc). Even with this configuration the ramp shape might change depending on the environment.

Anyway, here you go:

Configuration: https://gist.github.com/SammysHP/5acd7390cba7d252bd304d0cba1e1ea5

Hex: https://cloud.finf.uni-hannover.de/s/YDBbZak4P3oMs2i

The hex comes with some additional features:

  • Two more aux LED patterns: off / low / high / fancy blink / blink low / blink high
  • Aux LED low voltage protection
  • Smoother sunset timer
  • Allow turbo in momentary mode (go to turbo, then to momentary via 5C)
  • PocketUI: Shifts some button mappings from off to make lockout obsolete. Can be enabled via the misc options menu (from off 9H, then 1C to enable or nothing to disable).

Sammy, are all the traditional elements of Anduril 2 still in this version? Specifically the ramp speed adjustments? Nice button mode, but I have so many Anduril lights that I am not interested in learning a new interface. BTW, I am still using your Anduril 1 fork in all of my FW lights that allows for 5C while locked to set an autolock timer. Love it, thanks for all of your work.

Yes, all original features are present and unaffected.

Glad you like my autolock feature. It was included in Anduril 2 and presumably saved many pockets. Smile

gchart and SammysHP: the new hex is great. The low is close to the SP10Pro now and will work better than the high AUX.

Thanks for your work!

SammyHP, got your fork flashed on both of my TS10’s and love the low blink for lockout! Also the refactored low end ramp smoothness is awesome.

Thanks to both of you for your hard work on this firmware.

I’d say “half good” : it is both very good and not much Sick
It has really cool things going for it, but the clip is awful, it scratched the surface of the flashlight at first try.
I would have loved a deep-carry : so I made kind of one using old Wenger chained o-ring and modified original clip, but it scratches the body even worse than stock clip.

Anduril 2 is quite fun, but its one more UI to remember… I’d prefer it if there were two channels

I also succeeded in reflashing a TS10.. Thanks to all

the lowest mode, in advanced, is now 0.02 instead of 0.2.. YAY
aux lights are off when main LEDs are On… YAY!!!

defaults:
94 lumens memory at turn on, in Simple Mode, floor 0.2 lumens, ceiling 804 lumens. Aux on Low when Off. Aux on High Blink when locked.

advanced mode 2H from off gives ceiling 367 lumens, 2H again gives turbo 955 Lumens, floor is 0.02 lumens.

fwiw, I increased thermal step down to 50C, the light now sustains 300 lumens. In stock thermal config, the light steps down to 88 lumens in less than 10 seconds.

Where do I get the hardware to reflash the TS10?

I got it from gchart: (ignore the green circles)

the TS10 has no pin holes in the pads, so you need to clamp the pins to the head something like this:

thats actually a pic of an SP10 Pro, it has holes in the flashing pads, and does not need to be clamped, but I did anyway

=======

the programmer also works for the SC21 Pro, with a separate harness…

I did not have pogo pins, I soldered the wires to the flashing pads on the driver. The wire harness I used for the SC21 Pro, came from a separate purchase on aliex..
.
all this thanks to Adair21’s post,
https://budgetlightforum.com/comment/1861493#comment-1861493
plus lots of help from several kind people who coached me privately to install all the software and driver, on my iMac.

If I purchase a TS10 say today, I wonder if these changes would or can be requested to be flashed to my unit? Not sure how it works between you guys….

Usually pogo pins are pointy enough to not slip away. You can hold it in place with one hand and use the other one to start flashing. Using a clamp makes it slower, but helps positioning if it is difficult for you to see the tiny pads or if you can’t hold still enough.

I want to thank all the people, named and unnamed, that have helped me learn how to reflash Anduril 2 onto my TS10, SP10 Pro, and SC21 pro, including but not limited to: gchart, SammysHP, Adair21, zumlin, and BruisedMonkey.

I applaud you for bringing Lower Lows to my Anduril lights

my SC21 Pro, and TS10 now have lows of 0.02 lumens, 10x lower than before.

That change has Transformed my nightstand light options. Now I can use lights that were too bright, thanks to the Lower Lows you have created for us, and that gchart has incorporated into these Hex files that I used to reflash my SC21 Pro, SP10 Pro, and TS10.

hex file sources:
major thanks to the_gchart and SammysHP
TS10 https://www.ghart.com/blf/firmware/hex_files/sofirn_anduril2/anduril.202...
turns off aux lights when main leds are on, adds LVP to aux light circuit, AND makes the lowest mode 0.02 instead of 0.2 lumens

SP10 Pro https://www.ghart.com/blf/firmware/hex_files/sofirn_anduril2/anduril.202...
eliminates the blink at top of ramp.

SC21 Pro http://www.ghart.com/blf/firmware/hex_files/sofirn_anduril2/anduril.2022...
converts from Anduril 1 to Anduril 2, adds LVP to button lights, plus makes the lowest mode 0.02 instead of 0.2

Thank You All! Beer

Oh, that’s not the “ZebraLight low”. It can go much lower, but I don’t know how reliable it would be.

It is 10x lower than before, Im very happy.

fwiw, the lowest low on a zebra SC64c LE specs is 0.05 Lm, and Im getting 0.02 Lm from the TS10 and SC21 Pro. The SP10 Pro is 0.01 Lm, on my meter..

I’m quite late to the TS10 party as Wurkkos doesn’t sell it in China yet. I had to get it through some back channels Big Smile

I will test the TS10 Aux lights but the drain claimed in this thread seems too high.

I’ve tested my D4v2 with cyan Aux on high for 2 months and it drained my Samsung 30Q from 4.18V down to 3.81V so it would take 7 months to fully drain the battery. The drain actually tends to slow over time because the Aux lights lose some brightness as voltage drops.

By the way, I found the best way to use a USB ASP is with jumper cables. https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%95%E3%82%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%AB:A_f...

You don’t need to solder wires or use pogo pins. You can just electrical tape the end together to the right configuration and then put enough pressure to make contact with the electrical pads.

Has anyone tested the max current the light can put out, especially with high drain 14500s? Testing current draw for tail E-switch lights is always tricky and I’ve given up on it.

I suspect the light can get up to 2000 lumens at turn on with high drain 14500s.
