-Size is smaller than pictured
-Button is extremely squishy and needs to be pressed dead center
-Pocket clip scratches the slot when installing and the head when twisting
-Within 5 minutes of fiddling some of the finish has already peeled, this is the weakest anodizing I’ve ever seen.
-Tint and beam is quite good considering the emitter/optic combo, maybe a tiny little bit on the green side. Definitely less green than some of my olight and zebralights costing 4-5X as much.
-I charged the battery to 4.0V to avoid killing the emitters as reported by others. So far no smoke yet.
Not sure why did they struggled so much with the finish, the white noctigon M43 got it right YEARS ago.
Is it worth $26? for the novelty (anduril 2, aux, triple in a 14500), yeah sure. But it’s not ready for prime time.
But…it seems to me that it still has the FW bug, the aux LEDs are ON while the main LEDs are also ON.
Gotta reflash the FW to fix that…gotta search for the things for that
And it’s done FW flashed, bug fixed :sunglasses:
Thanks to the thefreeman adapter and instructions, and to gchart ’s hex file
I am grateful to them and to all the people involved in these projects and development (directly and indirectly, specially concerning the earlier FW development) and I also wanna thank jon_slider for the support in several things throughout the way
I don’t know anything about how to reflash these lights, and don’t have the hardware. If I order one now, would they have the updated fixes? Is this only an issue for those who ordered earlier in the month?
