As the "martyr" I was staying away just to give you guys a break from my relentless silliness. I'm sure it gets old sometimes. I figured I'd use the time away to reread some classics. Can't really say what happened to the rest of them.
Make these into a e-book/paperback?.....writer? My wife loved it. She (as am I) was impressed by these. Very good job all. Our baby son (38) died 9Mo ago and the wife has not laughed much (if any) since. It was nice to hear her really "LAUGH"! Not seeking sympathy but saying "THANKS FOR MAKING MY WIFE LAUGH"! Seriously +!
First JohnnyMac's dog and now this. I'm so sorry. The loss of a pet is bad, but I can not for the life of me imagine the loss of a child, at any age. No parent should ever have to face that. God bless you guys.
Keith, I understand you're not seeking it, but deepest sympathy all the same. Cone's right, no parent should have to outlive any of their children, I think it's probably our worst deep-down fear. Wish there was something comforting to say, very happy if we helped your wife to smile again.
Well then, Jack . . . bet you didn't anticipate all this when you started this thread.
I must say, as powerful as the written word can sometimes be, this is a healthy reminder to all of us of the communication missing because we're not face-to-face. As aware as I think I am, I still regularly incorrectly "hear" and/or misconstrue intent.
Ohhh Jack . . . sir, you are a class act. I respect and salute you.
There are times when I think Solarforce sees me as their worst nightmare. I will however, accept and wear any synonym du jour that correctly descibes my affection for Solarforce. Indeed, far worse associations a man could hope for.
Keith, I can’t fathom the pain of losing a child. If I lost one of mine I don’t think I’d ever get over the pain. My deepest condolences to you, your wife and family. May she find some peace to replace the emptiness and pain.
lensman, cone, johnnymack...I appreciate VERY MUCH your condolences. It means a lot when others feel ones pain. It just seems to make one feel just a little better. You"all made me cry (that is a good thing). Thanks very much and to all for this thread. Yes foy, the power of the written word is.........well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,powerful! It can hurt, or build up.
