The easter long weekend gave me a bit of time to catch up on builds i’ve wanted to do. These hosts and parts are from 1.5 years ago or more. I’ve finished 2/3 builds.
More hair clipper conversions. I bought three of them. The colours are obviously different but there are also slight differences in the designs as well… but basically they all have a dragon on one side and a peacock on the other. I should have got a group shot before starting any works but must’ve forgot at the time. I worked on the dark one a bit over a year ago. This weekend i worked on the white one. Hopefully i’ll get time to work on the yellow one soon.
White Dragon hair clipper - Chinese 50/50 round die led, Q-lite rev-A 3amp driver with guppy drive UI, McClicky forward clicky switch, and a reflector from Kaidomain which no longer appears listed… that annoys the crap outta me because i scratched this one during construction and wanted to replace it.
Black dragon hair clipper - Triple osram cslmn.tg flat, KD triple optic, MTN fet driver with guppy drive UI, OG tail switch. I didn’t get many pics of this one…
Okay, if not obvious from the pic above i made the last one a uv light. Triple seoul viosys 365nm, small reflectors from KD that i cut to fit, and a zwb2 filter. I wanted reflectors because some of the optics available restrict uv light.
I compared it to my only other uv light, a dqg 26650 that i did an emitter swap, stock optics are used. I don’t recall the exact emitter but I’m pretty sure they are 395nm. During the day the difference was the dqg had a significant purple tint while the yellow dragon had a pale blue tint… BUT when it’s dark there is a world of difference…
I know i have a track record for being terrible with links. I even tried to shorten the string on that last one but still screwed it up. Apologies everyone
