I have an order from the 11th still “processing”. My order on the 4th is no where to be found still. Gearbest will keep making promises that don’t mean anything, it sadly seems.
I sent a ticket and was told the backorder had just been fulfilled yesterday and that they have been sent to the shipper. I still don’t have a tracking number yet but hopefully it will be available by the end of the day.
Just ordered one, fingers crossed… ![]()
Just received mine! Nice charger; feels like good quality (reminds me of my AccuPower NiMh charger). Discharge testing (4) used laptop pulled 18650's now.

Argh, the shipping is horrible…
Order from the 4th(shipped PostNL 9/9), tracking info still says the item is pre-advised.
Order from the 11th(shipped DHL 9/18), tracking info says shipping info received.
It’s great that the carriers know about the packages, but it’s awful they apparently have not seen the packages yet.
Notable updates at end of day:
9/25 - The PostNL package finally reached the PostNL sorting center!
10/01 - The PostNL package arrived! ![]()
10/10 Nothing new from DHL package
Hi one41,
I’m sorry about this issues, but because recently almost all the parcels will be impound and checked carefully by Shenzhen customs, it’s the most severe and longest-lasting checking since last 10 years.(We have no idea when it can be closed). Almost all of the shipping methods are affected, such as NL post, DHL, UPS, etc, so the tracking information will be delayed to update than usually, beg your kindly understanding. Really hope it can past as soon as possible, and sorry it bothers you so much this time.
Best Regards,
GearBest.com.
@CSgearbest, so the problem lies in going from Singapore to China?
I’ve had packages from China ordered from before the 4th to currently. I have received all packages except yours that were sent out before the 13th. A package on the 13th, I’m expecting to see very soon. No packages appeared to have been tampered with by customs, as of yet. I really hope you can improve your shipping methods, that the shipping agent gets the packages in a timely manner.
Hi one41,
Thanks for your advice, and GearBest is always trying to improve this with your and all BLF members’ kindly supporting and advices. Sometimes, accidents happen, feel deeply sorry to bring members trouble, beg your continued supporting and
understanding.
Best Regards,
GearBest.
@one41 wow China to Netherlands took 16 days, I’m on day 11 and still pre-advised. It sounds like the shipper used surface mail, this is definitely not acceptable as we paid for airmail. I do hope gearbest is paying attention and looking into this. If they must outsource to overseas shippers they should at least make sure they’re using ones that ship by airmail for the whole trip. At least now I can rest easy knowing my package is slowly finding it’s way there. I’m really kicking myself for not picking a specific shipping company, let’s hope NL post aren’t as bad as the likes of Philpost or Malaysia post.
I can say that it is not their shipping methods that caused the customs inspection. 9 out of 10 times it is random, and it happens in all countries for shipments coming and going. They grab a container or a bin and throw it in the warehouse for inspection (usually just an x-ray or dog sniffing) but when they are doing hundreds there is no telling about time.
I have a bunch of stuff caught up in the latest inspection coming out SZ (not just GearBest). I also had other stuff that sailed right through the same port at the same time.
I don’t have worries about any of the shipping companies except for the USPS. If a package of mine gets routed though New Jersey, they seem to have thieves there, as packages have only gone missing when tracked though that state for me. It really doesn’t seem to make a difference on what shipping carrier, the delay for the package to reach the shipper is the part that needs to be improved upon. My PostNL package is currently in USPS hands in New York. The best thing about other carriers, is they usually avoid New York(and thus New Jersey), they will basically come in on any flight to the US they can and then about two days later I receive the package. Things are slow going in New York.
If anyone has got EMS shipping from Gearbest, they need to come forward with the timing for that. From China to the US, for EMS, has taken 2-3 days from the shipment point, and that was ordering off of TaoBao.
Don't even get me going about USPS. It is a felony to tamper with or steal mail - that is unless you are a USPS employee. Heaven forbid you domestically insure anything either. Their customer service is like calling the White House - or at least they think they are. When I ship something domestically I use FedEX or UPS.
Just ordered the v2.1 with the OP3100 code. Thanks for the deal! Looking forward to testing some of my cells.
I ordered mine on September the 12th. Status changed to “shipped out” on September the 18th, but in PostNL tracking it is still in status “The item is pre-advised”.
I started to be a little bit worried about my parcel ![]()
PostNL is really bad in updating their tracking record. Not sure how long this "pre-advised" message will last.
I’m trying to sift through the posts to determine if a DC power source can be used. I see the info regarding running the charger from a car.
I want to run this from a 12 volt battery, namely a jump pack.

I can’t see anything wrong with this, can someone with better vision chime in?
thanks
Anybody else having problems with the test function as it gives higher mAh ratings on the slots 3 and 4 than on slots 1 and 2?
I tested this by putting my numbered Sanyo laptop pulls to every slot and ran a test cycle with 1000mA current. Battery order was 1, 2, 3 and 4.
First I got 2312, 2364, 2494 and 2453 mAh.
Then I swapped the batteries around and the order was 3, 4, 1 and 2.
Now I got 2344, 2419, 2526, 2502 mAh.
So now the battery 1 got 200 mAh more than on the slot 1. And there is also about 150 mAh difference on the batteries 3 and 2.
PostNL is not slow… The time the item takes to get into the hands of PostNL is slooowwww. Here’s the results from my order posted though PostNL:
Ordered: 9/04
“Shipped”: 9/09
In PostNL hands: 9/25
Is USPS hands: 9/28
Received: 10/01
Simply put the faster PostNL actually gets the packages, the faster they arrive.
DC power supply
Of course you can run this off of a 12v battery. To do so, I’d suggest a 3A fuse just to be safe. If you want to run this off of a charging 12v battery, like one connected to solar panels, the voltage will be as high as 14v, so without knowing the exact specifications, it might not be the safest thing to try without something to regulate the voltage at 12v and that could handle the full 3A.
@Juggeli sony laptop pulls
Variance can also be coming from using a too high of charging current, especially if those cells only have 1800mah or less capacity still available. But you may want to look over the thread and maybe find HKJ’s current review, then you can see how equal your results are. I think it’s due to the actual chip that does the charging, and it’s variance. There’s one for each of the four slots.
Another bloody Chinese holiday
It seems China has a week long holiday these first seven days of October. So expect delays depending on where your item actually started out in this period.
Customs unit price declaration
We are paying $42 US for these charger, but the customs form says $28 US. $28US I believe to be the true cost before shipping and anyone except maybe the manufacturer making money. But this is not the value that should be on the customs form, I think it should be the amount paid. Having the wrong price there makes me wonder why we didn’t get a better deal.
I have already ran mine from a 12 volt DC portable Battery power unit that charges from Solar panels with no problems.
I now popped a set of 3100mAh Panasonic NCR’s to my Opus and ran a test cycle.
It’s reading 3005, 3104, 3170 and 3211mAh.
That last one is over 200mAh more than HKJ tested on the Opus with his 3100mAh NCR’s. So there is definitely something wrong with my unit.
