Thats a lot of posts. I dont know if I trust myself with that many. Does anyone know where the mailman is. Apparently hes good with the post though he does lose them to.
I'm not sure it was over-moderation, the idea of BLF is that it should be no problem if watched at by the whole family. There were a few members who got carried away with cheeky posts about blonde girls and such which IMO was not that big a deal at first but it kept going on, on the edge of rude I think, and certainly unpolite towards DBSAR who had an honest and nice flashlight related question in the OP.
Whenever I post something like âfood fightâ itâs an effort to introduce levity into situations that seem too serious but I lack the gift of humour to do that well.
Actually I never have been in charge all that much, and I try not to be.
Sorry about the late reply, Iâve been pretty busy with things during the past week, and Iâve hardly even checked the site. The only thread that I remember intervening in was the previously mentioned âDBSARâs 2000 post giveaway suggestionsâ thread. Quite a few of the comments turned lewd â[1]â:Forum FAQs - BudgetLightForum.com â[2]â:lewd - definition and meaning, and the easiest way to clean it up (due to the limitations in the moderation features in this forum platform) was by re-creating the original post with none of the original comments. Sorry if any clean comments also got removed in the confusion.
Apart from this, I noticed that a few CPF-related threads have been marked as spam. In the future, please donât mark controversial threads as spam; instead please send me a PM and Iâll try to handle it quickly. But in this case, the CPF-related threads werenât removed by me. As for the topic of CPF complaints, at least for the moment this still applies:
thats odd⊠i still see them all here: What should i give away for 2000 posts ?
but i discovered a weird âcloneâ topic of it in my subscriptions with no replies to it. There must be some forum code error happening.
What happened is you created the first thread, subscribed to it, and then the inappropriate comments started coming in. So I took that thread offline and copied your first post into a new thread with a new number. The comments on the new thread are fine, and thatâs whatâs currently online and available to the public.
I will likely either give away something that was not suggested in the topic, or giveaway nothing at all as the topic really took an unexpected ridiculous turn on a wrong direction & got derailed as SB mentioned.
