That one looks quite stabby (appears to have a nice profile for penetration). Looks like you reprofiled the edge a good bit. Like the handle and deep carry clip. Nylon type washers?

No it actually has metal brass coloured washers, very thin - there’s not much space between the blade and liners when closed which is why centering is important on this one. I managed to fix the centering issue on mine by installing a slightly thicker washer on the offending side.
How about this little nugget: http://m.aliexpress.com/item/32479449361.html?adminSeq=225057065&productId=32479449361&productId=32479449361&shopNumber=1900800&productSubject=New-Bushcraft-Camping-Fixed-Blade-Knives-G10-Handle-7Cr15Mov-Survival-Hunting-Tactical-Knife-Outdoor-Tools-With&detailNewVersion=2&tracelog=wwwdetail2mobilesitedetail. I’ve heard you can try and get the sellers at Ali to discount a given item. How does that work?

A decent budget knife can be found at Wally world for $3.87 from Ozark Trail. It’s called the Tan Flip Opening knife.

For less than $4 it’s great. Check out a bunch of youtube reviews on it. Planning to give one to my 15 year old nephew, so I don’t have to worry about him beating it up.
Ive seen this at eBay. I think it was over $30.00. Probably not ats-34 but still looks OK For $17-$20.00. http://m.aliexpress.com/item/1093006213.html here is the EBay listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camping-Outdoor-Adventure-Knife-Fixed-Blade-Serrated-Scouts-Hunting-Survival-Pro-/301824127352?var=&hash=item46461eb178:m:mxyLYvnXc16ZkY104aVsQtw Probably the same dude.
Wow, that lockbar seems to be as finely cut as the G722
In the “cheapos” category, Ganzo is really killing the game…
Are those really that big?
Or is that ruler so small?
I have to agree, Ganzo is putting out some of the best stuff for the money I have ever seen in knives…
We have to figure out how to get a Ganzo knife-of-the-month club going, imagine what $20 a month would bring….
This looks like it might be worthwhile for $17.00 http://m.aliexpress.com/item/1963000520.html Fixed Blade over 10 inches long. Worth a Shot.
ZT 0777 copy arrived today from DHG, very nice roller bearing knife although the grind it came with was not very good, took a while reprofiling this as it has fairly hard steel.
That looks really nice, and good news that it is a hard steel.
You took the pocket clip off of the 0777?
I really like the way it looks but wow does it ever grab. It's nearly a two handed job to unclip it from my jeans.
I've had my clone for a while and after disassembling it to oil/clean I really only fondle it occasionally, so it's exactly like I bought the real thing. (Seller no longer has it)
My sebenza 21 clone has seen a little pocket time but I really need to get it apart and lube it soon. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Large-Sebenza-21-Chris-Reeve-folding-knife-D2-blade-with-satin-finish-TC4-titanium-alloy-handle/2043540421.html
Yeah, i don’t really use clips
Just file & smooth some from the inside of the clip to suit you better.
That’s quite nice, similar to this one that i am liking 0808
Just bought a ganzo G717 from gearbest.
+1
Finally, just bought a Ganzo G732/Endura clone from Gearbest!
Kicking the new year off with an actual Spyderco Techno order.
Probably the most I ever spent on a titanium frame lock folder…but I think it will be a nice edc choice.
The Techno clone looks pretty nice too and was tempting…but this one really spoke to me so I went with the original article.
My problem is that those fakes used to just make me want the real thing even more.
I just ordered a Spyderco Mantra yesterday on its release day. They sold out of like 6 stores in a couple hours. $168 but it looks like a thing of beauty: Taichung made flipper with M4 steel and an integrated Ti frame lock, and it looks like a Delica.
Its not exactly budget but I was able to snag a Benchmade 300-1, was marked 169.99, but alas they did not have the box. So I got them to mark it down to 100$ including tax. I sure do miss that box. Was from a local BM store.
I’m quite interested with the Techno but not a fan of Spydy hole, so aiming for a flipper instead, with ZT 0900 or Kizer Gemini might be in my shopping list this new year.
I have the Anton Malyshev Gnome in the mail that should be delivered tomorrow or on Monday. If I’m quite happy with the Gnome, I can KIV the order of the ZT or Kizer
