Itās of course not very precise as doing 3C from off, where you get the precise voltage to a 10th. But I think itās a useful indicator of battery health while the light is in operation. For example, I was testing out a few cells⦠and in one case, a laptop pull battery started out at 4.12v, but while running turbo, in about a minute the RGB indicator had dropped to red. The voltage did bounce back after it cooled, but that characteristic must mean the drain was too much for the cell to handle. Conversely, another laptop pull battery started out at the same voltage but during the first minute of turbo it slipped down to green⦠never red.
Of course, if I wanted to do this right Iād use a light meter and measure output. My unaided eye didnāt really see much of a difference, but I have to wonder if the weaker cell was actually putting out less.
Hi everyone. I made a mistake by not specifying finer details when I ordered my first Emisar D4SV2. Despite it not having a lighted switch by default, my biggest gripe is the fact that itās running old Anduril. All my other Hank lights run Anduril 2. Itās a deal breaker for me as I really use some of the new features of Anduril 2.
Apparently the light has the FET+1 driver. Can someone please direct me to the right Anduril 2 hex file for this particular driver? Any help will be appreciated!
The lights will step down, and ultimately will turn off completely due to LVP built into Anduril. But I do not recommend waiting for the LVP to turn the light off.
I make a habit of checking voltage w 3C from off, and I recharge any time the battery goes below 3.6V.
Upgrading to Anduril 2 does not ārequireā a version check, but since you are asking for which HEX file to download and update to your light, doing a version check and posting your results here would tell us exactly what you currently have installed so you can get the right answer of what to download. Savy?
Thanks for letting me know. For some weird reason, I was under the impression that the light would go red before LVP cutoff. But it just stepped down like you mentioned.
The red light warning would be a nice feature to have, as the red LED already exists. I guess it is hard wired only to the charging circuit.
