Best 1xAA Flashlight with highest output, don't care price

Hi

Want to buy some really good high power 1xAA, what do you think i should spend my money on.

Edit: That have the highest output on AA battery only.

That would be the new Zebralight SC52 (64:money_mouth_face: with 280 Lumen from one NiMh AA.

Do 14500 count?

No only 1xAA, want a light that you can find battery in very shop you walk in.
Want a small wow light that you can give to your non flashaholic friends that don’t like the special charger thing.

Most say that the Zebralight SC52 look nice…

TGH most non-flashaholics are most wow’d by the humble Sipik SK68. That it can reach out to 50m when zoomed gets them every time.

Know about the Sipik SK68, have three of them my self, didn’t like them do.
If you compare to torch light C78 i think the C78 was better, they had smaller hotspot and they were brighter.
But maybe i got a bad batch off the sipik sk68 don’t know, buy them at DX.
The problem with C78 was that they had so bad quality…
So now i want good performance and good quality, some light that last.

My SC52 came in the mail today. Pretty impressive, even with a AA (and even more with a 14500).

but it had the shortest lifespan of any light i’ve owned.

Romisen RC-G2 III Cree XP-G R5 from Shiningbeam

I just got the Nitecore EA1, I was torn between it and the zebralight, I chose the EA1 because of the problem with the zl having a very sensitive switch that can come on while in a pocket. And the zl is very floody.

BUT if I win the lottery I will get the zl and about 100 other lights to play with.

The EagleTac D25A Clicky is one of the best. Nice if you can find a Titanium one. I have one with an XM-L U2. Great output and UI. My very favourite EDC. Very small, light and powerful. Maybe not the maximum lumens available, but more than enough for me.

yeah that's right :)

Think im going for the dog food and buy me a Thrunite Archer 1A
Like that it’s more throwy.

I gotta look up this baby… If I have my math right 178 Thrunite lumens should translate to ~295 Zebralight lumens.

Kreisler, what other lights do you know that are fully regulated on 1x14500, and officially support 4.2V (excl. IV mag rings though, for efficiency reasons) Quarks, SC52…….?

I’m just new here so I’ve no idea about it at all still thanks for sharing.

I have the old Neutron 1A, the old version of the Archer.

I agree, its a very nice light and well made. I like the UI on the Neutron series, I have all of them.

But the Neutron 1A is so thick and solid, it is actually thicker than some of my 18650 EDCs, and only a few mm shorter. Given its size and weight, I would rather carry one of my 18650 lights.

The D25A however, is very petite and sveldt. Much nicer in the pocket.

Kreisler, let me know how you like the UI on the Archer compared to the Neutron, it seems a little unwieldy to have to twist the head to switch modes, if I read the directions correctly.
