Best Budget 18650 Flashlight

Here is my lates video where I look at 9 budget 18650 flashlights under $25 to see whats the best. I do full testing on all the lights and I genuinely think you’ll be surprised by the results. As always tell me what you think!

…I hate YouTube? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The music killed the video. Sorry brother, music has its place but not with flashlights.

3 Thanks

Sorry haha thats the best platform that I’ve found!

3 Thanks

Understandable haha would you rather it be just silent or like a voice over or any other ideas?

Similar to Darren Yeo would be excellent. He is #1 reviewer IMHO.

2 Thanks

The music is too loud, I would lower it a bit. Other than that, your videos are great! Keep doing what your doing :+1:

2 Thanks

Well done! Please keep doing more videos!
My 2 favorite 18650 lights are: Wurkkos TD05 and Convoy S3 LMP531
The most recommended 18650 light by BLF is the Wurkkos FC11C I think…but I’more focused on efficiency than CRI…

2 Thanks

I watched it after I posted it and yea your definitely right the music is to loud haha thank you! And Im glad you like the videos!

Thank you! And Ill have to check out the fc11c not sure if I’ve seen that one or not.

Comparing run times without lumen levels is useless. Comparing run times with different capacity batteries is useless. Comparing charging times with different capacity batteries is useless. Do not do these things. You didn’t cover the ui of any of them. I think the water test is a good idea. If they are claiming one meter for a certain time period, I don’t understand why you would put them in 12 inches of water. Dropping off the roof is way beyond what all of them claim for impact resistance, but I don’t have a problem with that.
Your top choice had a major failure.

Overall I don’t think that this comparison of mostly unknown brands and models is helpful for very many people. And the fact that you have not heard of the FC11C tells me that you haven’t really spent any time on this forum. And that’s why you don’t really understand that a lot of what you did is useless information.
Of course price matters to some degree. I do not think that a 5 or $10 difference should be the primary factor in choosing a light as a tool. My primary EDC only cost about $25 so I’m not saying that lights need to cost more than that. What I’m saying is that you should be telling people what you like about specific lights and don’t like about specific lights rather than focusing on a $5 difference.
That is my opinion. Because you asked.

I genuinly appreciate your detailed opinion. If I could push back a little I would say that the run time and charge time aren’t useless to most people as it shows what that specific light is capable of out of the box on the highest setting and how long it takes to charge from completely dead. Most people that aren’t flashlight fanatics will never change the battery and care about these tests based on other feedback that I’ve received. As for me not knowing about the FC11C your right I dont spend a ton of time on here but I have a very busy life and I do what I can so apologies for that. I totally understand that $5 or $10 shouldn’t be a big deal but to some people that matters and Im trying to cater to the normal people as well. As for the light that I suggested having a critical failure I understand what you mean but I was very open about that in the video and there was an alternate way to charge it and it was only $8. That was my opinion and I definitely understand if you dont agree. I fully intend to test other lights at different price points in the future and Ill definitely take your suggestions into consideration and appreciate your passion for the subject. Ill also add that Im newer to EDC lights and vome from a background with tactical lights and im constantly learning new things and don’t ever clam to be any sort of authority on the subject I just love flashlights and making videos.

+1 for Wurkkos FC11C. Solid, great LED, regulated, smooth beam, can be shortened to 18350 with extra tube. $21 on sale now.

It’s pleasantly and usefully boring :-)

Hahaha thats exactly how I would describe it based on specs! Definitely perfectly adequate

Wurkkos fc12c is missing. Great flashlight!

Sofirn SR12 can be found under 20€.
It is good flashlight, better than Sofirn SC18 or Wurkkos WK03 in my opinion.

1 Thank

It was over my budget of $25 at the time but I believe you and If I do a $40 or less one It wouldn’t definitely be a great contender! Thanks for recommendation!

Enjoyed it! Keep up the good work brother.

1 Thank

It’s for sale for around $30-$35.00 direct from Wurkkos.
