Best flashlight for those starting out with Anduril?

If correct there is between, but it takes you to anduril UI versions there is no way to access the newer version of anduril 2.

You only go to one of anduril UI 711 is good enough for me to see the code.

I do not know the reason for not being able to access.

If you click on browser code it takes you to the previous anduril version 1 the 711, not the anduril version 2.

But at least I have seen part of the code.

Thanks I will keep looking.

I got the Sofirn SC18 and as I found out late it does not have an anduril it is a Ramping trimmed to 3 steps low, medium and high.

Direct access to turbo com 2C strobo 3C and 4C lock.

The flashlight is very small and nice feels good in the hand, but with use you lose the position of the button , I turn it around until I placed it on the finger, I will use the reference click.

It is not plastic as I thought, it is a polished lens and looks like good material.

What I don’t like:

The beam is not throwing or flooded.

I don’t like it, it neither fills with light nor throws, I compared it with the S2+ with the same led and it is much better the beam in the S2+ reaches far and floods at the same time.

Much better flashlight the S2+ than the SC18.

For the price I think I will keep it but the handling is not easy to give away, you have to press and hold to change the mode, people don’t know that, they just press and want it to change.

Maybe I will keep it but I don’t think I will use it.

It is not suitable for indoor use, it doesn’t flood, it is a circle and it has an ugly light beam outdoors.

I am waiting for the SC31Pro with anduril 2 I think it will be better.

I comment it because it all started in the other thread because I wanted to buy one with anduril to try it I saw the SC31Pro and then I saw the SC18 and I bought it without reading that it used TIR, that it did not disassemble and that it did not have anduril as the SC31Pro :man_facepalming:t2:

Edit:
At this step I will have flashlights to review :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: maybe I can go up to the terrace that I have buildings on one side and a park on the other side, maybe I will make a pattern to repeat it in all of them.

But there is already a lot on YouTube and many review on this same forum I do not know if there is of the SC18 I’ll see!

Every file has its own modification date. anduril-ui.png wasn’t updated for two years, that’s why it shows an old date. The important bit is the revision number in the upper circle!

1 Thank

I pointed it out because it is anduril UI.

Not the Anduril 2 folder.

That’s why I was pointing it out.

Since there is no anduril 2 schematic I think it is the anduril UI sources.

Or is it v2?

Edit:
In the code it does not say that it is anduril 2 but I do not see the Muggle mode so maybe it is v2 I am not sure.

I assumed that the version would be commented in the code.

The multi-channel branch is the current version of Anduril 2 . But, as SammysHP already pointed out, it’s not yet ready for all build targets.

1 Thank

There is no “Anduril 2 folder”, there is only Anduril, just at different times. Make sure to be at the latest revision of the anduril2 branch.

2 Thanks

Ok!

Thanks.

Ok, Understood I was looking for the anduril 2 folder and its schema in that folder is only the schema and anduril UI txt manual.

There’s no official update for the UI diagram of Anduril 2. But the text manual is usually up to date.

1 Thank

Perfect!

That’s the current latest branch.

Anduril 2 isn’t specifically a separate project (1 isn’t in active development by anyone), just that at one point there was a major rewrite that added a lot of features, so I’m guessing (before my time) that the 2 came about from people just using that to distinguish between the older and newer version at that time.

1 Thank

The thread has stopped!

I finally get SC31Pro Anduril 2 you can do whatever you want.

But the simple mode removes the turbo, I keep thinking that it takes the Muggle mode so we would have the Simple IU mode for most people who don’t want to complicate and besides turbo.

Then Muggle for the kids or a cut-off way.

And finally the advanced one I use.

Now if I leave it to my brother in Simple mode, he won’t have turbo but if I was scheduled to cut the shine off as emulating the Muggle mode I’d have to restore it again.

I thought it was a useless option when I read it but it turns out that I’ve happened to me with other flashlights a month ago, I didn’t leave the kids any other flashlights because they blinded :person_facepalming:t2:

Now you say to me “don’t leave the flashlight to children” they are not children, for a father they will always be children but they are older and do crazy.

In short, I miss Muggle mode.

Back to SC 18, I haven’t returned it.

It’s so small with included charger that it’s easy to take it for multiuses you have power if you need it, it fits in a pocket without disturbing.

The bad thing is short pitcher, something weird and not flooding has nothing of both ways but it lights up a lot.

Finally the SC31Pro works very well pulls more than a S21A with the same stack I guess with a 21700 more download will give more light.

But SC31Pro has a second light ring, I don’t know where it comes from.

It has the central point, flooded lighting and a fine ringling lighted will be something from the glass a leak or it’s my unit.

It also heats much, much more than the Sc18, S2+ and S21A the latter the coldest the three.

What model you advise with Anduril I’ve seen many have the FW3A lumintop now exited the FWAA and FW3X

I also like the Workkos TS10, TS21, TS25, and Sorfin IF25A, SC33 I think they all have Anduril but I don’t know what’s the best.

Thank you!

Is a good one to try. A great “little” pocket light. Too small to sustain high brightness for long periods, but this is not what I need it for. Nice floody beam for short range work. I set mine for manual memory 5/150 and max ramp at 120/150. Nice low moonlight mode (maybe too low to be useful for me), Lasts weeks between charges with those settings. Even has aux lights if you like such things. I turn them off. Anyway, especially at the price, well worth a try.

1 Thank

It would be great something flooded I have focused on power I have SST40 SFT40 and 519 would be nice something different and if it does not have power then make it small but more than the SC18 which is already small so I have something different.

I’m going to take a look at the TS10 again.

Edit:

It has auxiliary led to choose between red, orange or ice blue.

Which one would be ideal or practical?

The red one?

Anyone who has seen these colors?

Thanks.

If you’re an enthusiast, or already enthusiastic about trying Anduril, get something NICE that you will really enjoy!

Don’t get a TS21/SC31 Pro etc if you’re just going to end up with a much nicer D4K to replace it.

The TS10 is a somewhat unique option as there isn’t really a more ‘premium’ option with Anduril in that form factor. So if I had to suggest something cheaper it’d be that.

But a D4V2/D4K will have the same or better performance than something like the SC31 Pro with MUCH nicer LEDs, better build quality, smaller, aux LEDs, and overall way more options to get the light you really want that really excites you, that you’ll keep and use for a long time rather than feeling you have to ‘upgrade’ to something nicer down the line.

2 Thanks

Hard to say. A matter of personal taste. Some get brighter and some draw more current. There are a couple of threads here that discuss this at length. (Try a search for TS10 Aux). Including brightness and current draw at the different levels. I have a TS10 with each of the available options… like red AUX for the red body. Ice blue for the black body…
Cute I guess, but I turn them off. So… it doesn’t much matter to me.

Color is a personal thing, you’re right.

But I am referring to practical situations.

If it is only one led like the ones on the button for charging etc. I would choose the one with the lowest power consumption but I would have it off like on the SC31Pro.

But I am looking for which one is more practical to use.

For example I saw on a night outing a hiker with a red light on his head we didn’t see him coming until he was close, it illuminated enough to see the trail in the dark without disturbing.

My AppleWatch Ultra has that night mode the dial turns bright red.

My choice would be orange because it would be like a candle if you put a diffuser on it or red if it illuminates enough to see in the dark without disturbing.

The blue I do not see it practical I have loose led electronics at home and the blue is bright and I think it consumed more, I would have to look at it.

That was my question color for practical use, if they are decorative then I would not care about the color.

I saw the option of TS10 brass but I do not like the colors in flashlights look cheap, it is personal, I prefer black or gray Convoy of the S2+ which is very nice.

Also brass dissipates heat worse, correct me if that is not true.

I knew the BLF forum and it’s a ruin for me I keep buying  now I see the flashlights in a different way and I like them so much that I buy the same model in two temperatures so there is no doubt.

I already bought it!

Before this thread I saw it but found SC18 and bought it without thinking but then this thread was opened and confirmed it was not anduril :weary:.

And buy the SC31Pro but I’m looking for another one more with anduril 2.

They complain about the temperature and how long it lasts, I thought about the FWAA or the forum’s FW3A but the TS10 is even smaller!

I have looked it up and it is very nice and takes advantage of all the potential of anduril 2 I love it!

I see the best le option is the SST20 but I don’t know what to use as a second channel.

I also don’t know the difference of the two types of button, in the picture you see one with a protective ring that is flat and another one that is higher, I think it is to protect the button from unintentional switch ons.

There are more options lens and boost the latter lose power in the turbo but has better performance so I read on the web.

I will have to see review because I like it but I don’t know which options to choose.

And it’s very small I think it’s like a S21E or smaller amazing, also I don’t know if they ship to EU I’ve seen it in the Noctigon store.

I do not know if they only sell to USA or ship to EU but not from USA it would be a ruin in customs.

Thanks everyone it is very helpful.
PS:I also have a Simon M21B XHP70.3HI pending I am missing the most powerful one and I think it is the right choice.

D4V2/D4K

What differences do you make?

Visually and in the features it puts the same on both, on the Noctigon store web.

Edit:
One is 18650 and the other is 21700 and the possibility of double channel.

Not sure if someone already mentioned, but the Convoy S21E now has Anduril variant

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805414821780.html

For now, the Anduril version of S21E only has SFT40 and SST40 options (and 519A option grayed out).

The description does not seem to list which version of Anduril it uses (Anduril 1 or 2), but the Anduril UI diagram on the desription shows Anduril 1 UI flowchart.

1 Thank

Is Anduril UI

Thanks.
