Hi all,
I've read quite some posts related to ToyKeeper's awesome firmware(s). She's done a great job and I decided that I definitely need to add a Bistro driver to one of my Convoy S2+. That's why I created an account in your forum in order to ask some questions. I hope I found the right place. :-)
Unfortunately, I first bought the "BLF X6 X5" driver from BG (http://www.banggood.com/BLF-X6X5-Driver-ATTiny25V-Based-and-FET7135-Power-Channel-Configuration-p-1051559.html) and not the "original" from MTN. The latter is on its way but it will take a few weeks until it arrives in Germany. So I'd like to make the BG one work as well as possible until then (and I don't want to throw it away...). From what I've read, the BG driver suffers from temperature problems in the form that high temps lead to mode change problems (short/medium clicks not recognized correctly).
1) Is it correct that this problem can be improved by using a higher quality capacitor?
2) If yes, which capacity should I use? 1µF? 4.7? 10? Size should be 0805, min voltage should be 25V. Correct?
3) There are two capacitors on the driver (correct?!). Which one is to be changed -- the smaller one next to the 7135 or the bigger one next to the red wire?
4) Can I do anything else to improve the BG driver's performance? Change any other parts?
Thank you very much for any help and best regards!
