I wanted to show you guys what this thing looks like on a manual setting of 1.4 sec shutter. This thing has got a 9 and 7/8” reflector. That’s reflector diameter and not bezel to bezel. These turned out pretty good. Focal was 4 and ISO 400. I think you will see why this thing penetrates the nite. It’s got a super tight beam. And nothing I have or had will touch it for brightness and especially throw. The Dereelight I had wouldn’t come close. Neither will my TK70.

This tower is probably 3 to 4 miles away. And no it never hit it. Just showing you the beam. The 2nd picture is just aiming way off underneath it.
Platinum Thor 15 Million CP Halogen: 380,000 cp (Maxablaster host): 130W, 9” reflector (Measured by RA)
Several other 15 Million cp halogen spotlights: Non went above 400,000 CP, unknown but large reflector sizes(Measured by RA)
Thor 10 Million CP Halogen: 183,000 CP 100w, 7” reflector (measured by mtbkndad & calculated by RA)
I can’t remember, but I’m going to guess it was one of his ~XRE-EZ900, 2Amp custom builds. IIRC BC was into high current, XRE, direct copper bond designs at that time.
