My x6 does not enter in menu/config mode. Tried to tap it for more than 20x, i think i made 50 taps, but still cannot enter into config mode. My other x6 is fine. Tried swap tailcap same problem. what seem to be the problem? Sent BG message hopefully their reply is positive.

The first time entering was hard for me too. the shortness of the taps was a bit confusing. After doing it right the first time no issues here, it is just very short taps, if you tap one just longer then half a second you have to start over and if you miss that you are tapping longer then 0.5s at tap 13 you do not know you are only at 7 when you think you are at 20.

I ran into a problem with my X5 …
Here’s a short video of what I’m seeing:

That’s really odd. I don’t think you can fix that without replacing (or maybe just modifying) the driver.

It looks like the driver is under-clocked and maybe the FET channel is dead. Maybe a partially-dead 7135 channel too, since it doesn’t look like it’s getting to the ceiling for that channel. It apparently thinks it’s going to higher modes, but the output never gets very high. And it’s running at a fraction the speed it’s supposed to. I bet if you can get it into strobe mode (or other blinkies), the strobe will be slow too.

Update: Contacted BangGood (a couple of times) and got a replacement driver sent. Just arrived today, popped it in, and it works a charm! Loving this X5 again - now to mod the tail LEDs a little…

Its not really the timing because if have also x5/x6 in cu/al and i have no problem going in config mode. But this particular one seems to have a problem. I also tried havning 1light in each hand and simultaneously tapping and still the priblematic one cannot enter in config while the other can easily enter.

With the alu set i got an Astrolux S3 instead of BLF X5 “Limited Edition” yesterday.
(Ordered BLF X5 got Astrolux S3…)

Might be an Astrolux S2 will be sent once X6 V2 is out of stock.

Hello guys,

I am buying the x6 and x5 Aluminum set.But I do not know which tint to choose.
1A = 6500 K
or
3B = 5000 K.

I am not familiar with different kinds of tints and their applications.Therefore will need some help from you guys.

My usage will be to primarily play with these lights and apart from that it will be used for trekking,night walks and for bicycle rides.

Will there be any difference in brightness among the 2 tints offered ???

I recommend 3B = neutral white. The 1A has a slight blueish tint, the 3B gives more natural color rendition, especially outside.
3B (5000K) is always a safe choice, you won´t notice any brightness difference with your eyes compared to 1A.

Has anyone stuck an XM-L2 or XP-L in their X6 or X5? I’m curious about the beam profile in their reflectors. It’d be fun to have a bit more flood.
