If the sliding distance of a zoomie is large, this is not a good sign, it means a lens with long focal length (quite 'flat', as you can also see in the picture), and a flat lens means a tiny hotspot, with a lot of light loss when zoomed in, a shorter focal length lens (like the one from the UF-T20) would give you a much larger hotspot with the same throw.
I thought so that the T 20 was better.

Wow, this C8 zooming shell/host looks interesting. You don't see brass pills at this price range often. A lot depends on the quality of the lens - they list it as pmma material - assume that's plastic, while the T20 is glass -- dunno if a difference. Plastic lens can be good and can be bad.

get a uniquefire uf t20, swap the emitter with a dedomed XP-E2 R4 1C and drive it at 2,5A. You will be amazed.
Mine can lit buildings at 1000m+
I have no luck with my T20. So if this C8 zoomie turns out to be good I might want to get one. I love aspherical lights a lot but there are too few of budget selection.
Usually the plastic lenses are optically better than glass lenses, at this price range. But what you really want is swapping this lens with one with a shorter focal length. I just did a quick scan for 30/31mm aspherical lenses for sale from the usual sources (my guess from the provided picture is that this C8 has a lens that diameter), and in 30/31mm there is not one with a decent short focal length.
I’ve never seen a brass pill that massive, and $11?……. Very interesting.

I have 2 of them T20, it’s a nice light indeed… in fact it’s the brightest of all zoomies that I have
the only mod that I did was just change the LEDs to XM-L2 U2 on nogtigon copper
going to try one of them with XP-E2 on copper as recommended by borg and see if it makes a lot of different 
but even with stock it’s very good zoomie for the price 
xml are not the best and beaty zooming leds
I got a de-domed XP-G2 in my T20 that does about 135 kcd - nice light, like the overall quality.
Can XP-E2 be brighter than XM-L2 U2?
According to charts on the net:
XP-E2 R4 1C gives approximate light output: 329-352 lumens @ 1A
XM-L2 U2 gives approximate light output: 468-500 lumens @ 1A

XP-E2's are not brightest in terms of lumens, but they excel in throw because of the small dye and concentration. Trade-off is amps: XP-G2's can be driven harder. Not sure if a XP-G2 at 4A is throwier than a XP-E2 at 2.5A, for example.
There is no substantial gain in throw going from dedomed XP-G2 to dedomed XP-E2
I’m also sad there not high quality cheap aspheric… Dereelight make high quality lights but its expensive.
To me, a 27% to 30% gain is sustantial, someone else might not agree... I sometimes work or pay my a$$ off to get 5%, so just by choosing a different emitter for no extra cost gets you 27%, I'd be happy with that. It all depends what you want, what value you give throw vs. beam width vs. lumens, etc.
And how it is flood on T20 with XP-E?
P.S. Again, can anybody recommend me where to order UF T20?
