In regards to the high self discharge issues of (some of) the EVE 50PL: Nkon (reliable Dutch/EU seller) has now listed a new version of the 50PL of which they state that the self discharge issues should be resolved with. I posted about it in this topic:
I’ve personally purchased 6 EVE 50PL batteries a while back and only 1 of them had high selfdischarge; the others are in storage and have kept their storage voltages perfectly fine over the past couple of months, so it’s not that all previously produced 50PL have this issue, but it is kind of a lottery though.
Fortunately there are many options to choose from in the 21700 5000mAh tabless/single-tab that all perform extremely well and (pretty) close to each other, so I consider ‘us’ lucky that we have 5(?) of these well performing cells, with the 50PL (upcoming “V2.0”), RS50, 50XG, JP50, and according to tests by Mooch the (new) Ampirius 5000Q/50Q that Convoy now offers, also can (more than) hold its own between the other batteries mentioned.
So good to see there is close competition between all these brands and that we’re not limited to 1 or 2 of them to choose from.
