By the way, Banggood is having a Banggood-Black-Friday-Sale, there are some good deals

1 Thank

reserved!!!

I don’t use Facebook

So I choose rule number 3.

I like the LED and hope it’ll give nice light. I also like the army-like look.
But I’m concerned about the battery… I won’t be able to use other charger than incorporated and it may be hard to find reliable replacement after 2,3,4 years.

1 Thank

Interesting LED.

Looks like a modified Luminus SFT-40 or -70 or something, at least by the look of the outer casing (gold-brown frame and white silicon resin around LED chip)

Maybe this really is an LED from Sanan itself (according to the product images), not from some unknown assembly company which only buys the LED chips.

For rule no.3 - I want to test the LED and the light. (Of course. ) It looks interesting, especially because of this color, and it seems to have a good size.

Thanks for the giveaway, Banggood!
I almost reported the thread because at one point it seems to break the rules for giveaways, but then I read some more, and the thread looks kosher.
I certainly wouldn’t word a giveaway of mine like that.
(I’m not in this one.)

This has the word scam written all over it.

I dont own any Astrolux flashlights, but thay will probably change soon!

Thanks for the giveaway! i don’t have facebook, so I will also choose rule #3

So with “long throw” you mean this is a long flashlight with some throw right ^^.

In any case, it would be nice to try this one. It would be my first astrolux light, so i don’t have any other experiences with astrolux.

I choose the third option for entry.

It looks pretty interesting, especially the emitter, it reminds me of an SFT40, but with a round die.

The host is also nice, I guess it is around the sie of a 2C maglite but with a smaller head.

Hopefully it will be available also with a 26650/21700 tube, because I don’t think it would be easy to find spare batteries, or a replacement for it in a few years.

1 Thank

The FT05 battery looks cool. I like how the UI has a lockout and you can disable the switch light.

I choose rule 3:
It looks like it will be good flashlight!
I would like that it has possibility to use 26650 or 26800 battery because I think that 26980 format is not popular yet.

I wouldn’t call direct drive particularly efficient. I think this counts as rule #3.

26980 Battery is the best battery of course, I am joining with rule 3

I like the look of the FT05, but I don’t have one so can’t really say much about it other than that. I have a few Astrolux lights from way back - but haven’t bought one in a long time, or shopped from BG until last night when I bought myself a Volantexrc EXHOBBY 787-1 crawler for Christmas!

Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m picking option 3 to join.
Very interesting battery choice, I’ve never seen a 26980 before. Fortunately the light comes with type c charging so charging shouldn’t be an issue. However it’s definitely a concern for the longevity of the light because it’s not a “standard” battery size.
I’m pretty sad that Astrolux turning away from using high CRI LEDs. I’d like to see more future Astrolux lights with Nichia 519A.

Because I’m not on any of the current media, I’ll choose also for option number 3.

The positive aspect of Banggood is that they are not forcing the market according to what they think it should be. Like some other brands do.
Banggood is continuously following the market as quickly as they can, including good turns and bad turns.

The 26980 battery is a fine example of these efforts. Time will tell if this was a good turn or a bad turn.
Whatever the future will be, the 26980 battery has one fine quality, there is ample room to fit almost any battery (with the right adapter).

Thanks for the giveaway.
I have several Astrolux flashlights, they are very nice, quality is good, almost excellent, design I very much like. I have several FT03 flashlights in different colors and LED versions, like them quite. There are at least 3-4 models that I would like to have as well but the ultimate is WP03, that one is my favorite.

I really like the look and the performance, that’s a lot of power from one LED. I like how a lot of Astrolux lights have flexibility in what battery they can use with adapters, and tihnk that would be a good option here to take e.g. a 21700 as well. Some of the emitters they use are really interesting and I think more lights should use them, they definitely give impressive output. If I could suggest an improvement, anduril with an attiny1616 and UPDI flashing pads.

I would be really interested to get the FT05, I could do a review and full test of it.

(Another non-Facebook-user here, so entering via #3)

2 Thanks

Thanks for the giveaway.

I choose rule number 3.

As for the FT05, it looks OK. The lanyard hole is the old, worst design (I had to file one of those on your light, it was so sharp). The rest of the build looks good, knurling and anti-roll flats looks shallow but should be still functional. Button is little proud, for my taste.

Thanks for running a give away.

The FT05 looks very nice; the battery size concerns me a bit - if it happened to fail getting another could be hard; UI has plenty of options and includes everything I’d want (but it’s not Anduril, like some of your previous models?)

(I’m waiting for my first Astrolux light to arrive- an FT03S.)
