The appeal is you get to put it together yourself.

Umm… interesting? I really like the Tool AA V2.0’s. This is essentially an “assemble your own” kit. Seems odd to include both LEDs, but I guess that gives you the chance to try both if you don’t know what you like. And it’s not just the LED, it’s an entire pill. Which makes sense, I guess, since not everyone has a soldering iron.

Those disassembly tubes do look pretty neat and would make removing the pill slightly easier than than the mini-needlenose that I currently use. $40 before coupon though? Ouch. But it might make a neat gift for just the right person.

It is a bit pricey but with the coupon it’s $22.95. The light only is $19.95, with the kit you get two emitters and the simple fact that assembly is up to me is worth the $3 imo.

For me the appeal of this kit is the novelty of it. Are there any other lights which come with more than one emitter, and you can change them as it suits you?

I have more lights than I will ever be able to use. I'm down to selecting for "pretty", unique and/or novel.

Yes I’m new to this. I first got a emisar D1s a year or so ago and forgot about this forum. Found it again and the last week ordered a emisar d4sv2, astrolux mf01s, sofrin sc31B, this lumitop tool AA…

Trying really hard not to pull the trigger on the mf01s mini and the firefly e07 cu TI…
