Convoy L6... XHP70 Beast!

If you got the courage and want more power you can add one or two more R100 over each others, don´t know how much it can handle before something happens, take it easy. Or you can buy lower numbers.
Here you can see what the numbers stand for, just type R100: SMD resistor code calculator

Thanks Zander I will take it the safe way and just add one will order from fastteck tomorrow. Mine showed up this afternoon and took it out and I like it it’s definitely a flood and throws pretty well. Will order the smooth reflector when available.

The L6 made it to FT today in 1C and 3A tints - $55 before BLF code (minus 5%):

I’m about a hour and 15 or so from lucedale takes 45 mins for me to get to new Orleans. My town is the real ground zero for hurricane Katrina. 40ft of water. But since its not a big city didn’t get much coverage. Gulfport/biloxi MS got more coverage but 30 miles away from the real damage We got the east eye wall. But anyways that was really nice to give your in-laws all that. That starts to add up money wise. Lucedale always has one of the top mustangs performance shops in the USA. People have their cars shipped in from all over the us to have it modified. On the hog thing, there are way to many hogs here they sre everywhere, ive even hit one in my car just ran across the road out of no where. The more hunted the better. But anyway I didn’t think a BLF member would be that close to me. Next time you to to lucedale head south and check out the casinos. Some of the best king crab legs around, dipped in the hot butter. Might hit you up to mod some lights if you do that for members I know you do it for yourself.

coscar is in your area, fairly new to the lights I think but he’s well on his way to being addicted. Y’all are definitely close enough to each other to meet up at the Shed with some lights to play with and annihilate some B-B-Q.

Edit: 40 feet of water. Unimaginable. A telephone pole stands 19’ off the ground (25’ pole 6’ in the ground is typical) so you’re talking 20’ over the top of a telephone pole and another foot to boot. Freakish! Hope y’all don’t have to go throw anything like THAT again!

Got mine today and it ROCKS! Ordered 6/14, package got to Cincinnati 6/18, and it took FedEx another 12 days from Cinci to Knoxville. I could have driven there and back in one day. Sometimes I wonder how some of our inefficient US companies can stay in business. OTOH, Convoy is a very bright star in up and coming businesses! Thanks Jdub for all your efforts on this amazing light!

Thanks for the kind words. Sure I played my part but this was a team effort. Simon is the one bringing this all to life. I’m just an idea man. :sunglasses:
without him I’d just be someone saying “Wouldn’t it be cool if we could…”.
I don’t have the technical knowledge to bring these lights to life myself but with my friend Simon making this possible and my BLFriends helping bridge those gaps, this ship isn’t stopping anytime soon.

Can you hint him the idea to give me a free light  and i will be his best friend forever haha

Oh man can’t this topc just slowly glide away from the first page?
Every time I see new posts I read it and it is so dang hard NOT to order one

You mean he didn’t send you a free one? . He sent me one for free, now we are friends forever… :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL…so what are ya waiting for. Take the plunge! It’s the light of the year! Price can’t be beat! You know you want it !

I know I want it, but have the S70 at hand and use that every day
So realy no need :frowning:

 Can’t fool me. Next best thing to having it is not having it I guess
Cheers

Maybe someone would like a trade ?
I barely use my S70 myself, but I see how someone with a big field needs it.
Although the modes are not really well spaced on the S70 and seem to be better on the L6.
Aesthetically, my choice would be the L6…

That’s why Miller doesn’t want an L6, he knows the S70 would become a dust magnet.

Yeah modes are absolutely better on the L6
But the cell indicator leds and belt make the S70 pratical for me.
I can keep things lit with it hanging over my shoulder and the low is low enough for doing things close by.
Use it primarily on turbo high.
So that neutral white no stepdown is a big plus.
Sigh
Sigh
I could use one of those bigger lanyards with adjustment knobs to fix the belt at the head.
And if Simon could install an AT85 as MCU I could flash Narsil on it for voltage checks and well to use Narsil on it.

This and…

This :frowning:

  • I really dont have use for it… But that same goes for all of my lights.

All my Convoys start blinking at around 3,5/3,6V
A lot better then the Olight that just turn off and leave one in the dark without any warning.

I totally missed how the L6 behaves here.
I know after testing the S70 has a nice way of dealing with low voltage.
Even when it switches off one has half an hour worth of light in the low setting. This is really nice
Also the switch tells how one stands also very nice.

I have an idea can somebody please post a pic of the L6 driver?
A pic that shows the components on it

Not really clear but here you go, from way back in this thread.

LOL. Never! Resistance is futile my friend. Maybe I can have Simon put a shoulder strap on just for you so you can keep carrying your flashlight like a purse. :zipper_mouth_face: :stuck_out_tongue:
