Yep… the M1 is one of my all time favorite lights!! I prefer it hands down to the M2. To me the M1 looks better too.

Love the M1 too, it looks and feels pretty amazing. Still plan on getting an M2 with the 5700K Nichia. Then I’ll see if I agree with you completely 
I’d say so. It won’t exactly match a C8, but still should be pretty throwy.
I asked Simon for the sst-20, 5000k
He only has 4000k, but he responded like this:
If you just need narrow beam. You can choose cree xpl hi U6-3A
XPL HI, narrow beam, but ultimately the sst-20 will out throw it….?
Buy osram white flat and gaskets from Hank (intl-outdoor), M2 host and 3000mA driver from Simon and stack some more 7135 chips. This will outthrow every other M2 mod :D.
This sounds ideal, but is outside …My capabilities………….?
