Justin, thank you for your… words. Your opinion is your opinion. I have too much respect for you and your work to challenge it and I’m not naïve enough to think I could change it…
I’m actually working with my “imaginary friend” Simon right now to design a flashlight that runs entirely on negative energy.
Just think how much money could be saved on batteries! :innocent:
Oh, is this energy derived from our vacuum energy?
If so, be really careful !!!1 I do hope imaginary Simon knows his stuff. And you guys don’t collapse the happy little false vacuum which we call our universe.
I shouldn’t have pointed out that I was playfully trolling as a means of expressing myself, because after I that post, I stopped trolling, but everyone kept saying I was trolling because they can’t tell the difference anyway.
No hard feelings here Hoop. This is a pretty friendly bunch overall and some of the harshest “talks” I’ve had were with close friends just “telling it like it is”.
My wife has been working for years to try to temper my “like it is” voice and it’s had some effect but the process isn’t yet complete.
I’ve never claimed to be better than a work in progress.
Need more simleys when being “playful” :student:
We just can’t detect tone very well with plain text. :weary:
By the way, I don’t get why nobody uses SUSHI. Just because you can’t tell WTH it is and it doesn’t fit in normal conversation doesn’t mean it should be shunned!
In my 501B it’s evident because all the machining marks are clearly visible through the clear coating. Typical anodizing hides most of those fine marks and give s a more smooth appearance. I really can’t tell on that recoil thrower because I’m just looking at online pictures. Some of them look like clear anodizing and some of them look grey-silver and more opaque.
Forgive the size but this will show better what I mean. All the machining shows right through…
Thanks for the mega size close up of that 501B “Scary Sharp Knurling” Might make me a nice screensaver since I’m a aggressive knurling freak, gotta get me some mo dat.

Here I present some flashlight pornography for the viewing pleasure of my brethren “divergent” flashaholics:
I wish more manufactures would offer these color choices, this makes me have a lot of love for Acebeam, I think this is the only model they offer in “bare” silvery but a few of their other models are also available in Desert Sand: K60, T25, H10, and H20.
J-Dub does a great job of updating us with pertinent info soon after he receives it. The thread itself is only ~6 weeks old. Just need a little patience.
Sorry all. I’ve been really busy with the L6. Simon threw for a loop with the latest info on that one. He’s doing spring bypasses stock and he has the driver putting out over 5A! Off-topic I know but man he really impressed me. I had to lock myself in the den for a while to confirm all of this while I danced around like a 4 year old with a bowl of candy.
We’re not dead in the water but on pause. The anodizing isn’t right so we have to work out some details. If the L6 is an example of what waiting gets you then I say we wait. I will certainly post info about this one as soon as I have it and no, this is not a forgotten project. More info as soon as I have it!
No problem. I don’t want anyone to think they cannot ask me for updates. I get crazy busy and reminders never hurt. I’m really excited about the L6 too. Thanks!
